If you are not listing the performance specs of a performance car, you are wasting our time! 99% of the time people research performance cars, we want to see the performance figures. Go figure, performance matters for performance cars, duh. Don't bother posting until you have these figures, such as 1/4 mile, 0-60 and horsepower. For road course cars, lateral g info matters too. This should be law, in place of MPG. While we don't care about MPG but, dealers have to disclose mpg. Let's make it so mpg is not listed and the thing things that are listed are the important figures like 1/4 mile, 0-60 and horsepower.

I really wish Dodge would build a standard Challenger R/T with the Ford 9" solid rear axle and four link suspension from the factory, in high numbers, for a regular price. You could totally get there with a few changes, but because of the Mercedes IRS you'll need $12,000 of chassis shop work to get that tire clearance and the instant center and preload adjustments needed to hook it hard and straight. Same issue with the COPO Camaro and Cobra Jet Mustang. They look the same as the factory on the outside, but they aren't.

I don't hear anyone saying anything negative about the ford 8.8 that is made to fit the Challenger. I have it on my car but I'm only at 500 hp to the wheel. But I know of a few guys that have way more and they have no problems with the 8.8

Ford 9 sucks. Who cares about changing the diff? The Chrysler 8 3/4 or Dana 60 are floating axle so they take less power to turn, can handle more power, and easier to change out axles.

303StreetMachines they were hugely popular in the 60’s and 70’s when transmission technology allowed only 3-4 gears. It was easier to swap gears with the ford 9 because the differential came out of the middle axle and made it easy to swap ring and pinion but that also makes it weaker than a 1 piece housing like a floating axle Dana60.
