⁠@@CarmenFiala Yeah, but at this point, who cares? A somewhat faster cooldown doesn’t matter much when there are so many mods, fragments, aspects, and other exotics that grant ability energy. Take it from someone who doesn’t use theirs and mains warlock and has no problem with chaining ability loops.

@@AvatarBowler i think you're underestimating how much a cool like 40 points into strength, disc, and technically recovery for literally no work (not 40 points total, 40 points IN EACH STAT) can just feel good, especially on something like stasis with longer base cooldowns. those stats bumps aren't locked behind doing damage or getting kills or sprinting or doing ANYTHING. they are literally just like 3-4 bonus stat tiers per stat for free, opening up using mods that don't focus around just regaining your abilities. is it the most flashy? no. but literally every build and subclass will benefit from it. and anything pvp it's practically a no brainer

@@CarmenFiala The problem, though, is that base cooldowns mean less than they used to thanks to the global nerf to cooldown rate after Lightfall’s release and to the buildcrafting overhaul they did, so I don’t think I’m underestimating much here. Sure, I may run some double or triple 100 builds from time to time, but much of the energy I get from those builds isn’t tied to the cooldown either. They could be 60 or 70 and I won’t notice too much of a difference. However, I’m not necessarily arguing that you’re wrong, because you’re right. Having a passive / free stat boost _is_ of some value, and there’s nothing wrong with exploiting that to the max because having a free boost is good. If that’s what you use and it works, good for you. Seriously. I wouldn’t use it, but I’m also not you. What I _am_ saying is that Datto’s point is valid despite what you said, because of the reasons I already mentioned. If it’s any consolation, I also found it weird he ignored that part of the exotic, because that’s its best feature, not the target marking.
