I think the reason why they did it cause usually big game fish have tough skin, probably beating it would make it alittle more soft, but who knows 🤷♂️ last time i checked some big fish doesnt taste so good its always the smaller ones being eaten like catfish
@gabrielorlandi13 жыл бұрын
No, he do like that because the fish is too big and it’s scale are thick... scaling with tool will require a lot of force and is harder than use a knife and beat that monster

Probably should have just gilled it and bleed it out. At least it would have been quick for the fish and the meat wouldn't have all the blood in the veins still.

Dad had better tools in his farm shop. Crappy rough job, fellas.

They have patience in prep, because the end result will feed and satisfy EVERYONE who are blessed to eat this meal. They are using the tools that are available, bring it! I love the way the ingredients are mashed to release the flavor then chopped.
so the covering with the ice, is that to tense up the flesh or to kill the fish or both?

Burying live fish in ice drops the temperature dizzyingly fast. The fish loses consciousness in minutes. Then heart stops beating. Did it in Anatomy class. Most humane way to kill fish. Kudos. Fisk in Swedish! Haha!
