Reminds me of a case I'm working on. A shooting in the victims apartment, she was done in with a rifle. The only clues I have is an out of place shoeprint that doesn't match the victim or their spouse and a vmail on the victim's cruncher from a co-worker they had matched with on Dove and that the co-worker doesn't want that fact to be known. I looked through the security footage of the building. Unfortunateley the cameras stopped five floors below the victims, but I noted down the appearance of every person that came and went around the time of the killing. After searching the co-worker's apartment I found that her shoesize matched, that she had been in the victim's building around the time of the shooting, and that she was an avid shooter, with a pistol and plenty of ammunition. No rifle, but I figured I had the killer pegged. I confronted the suspect, cuffed her, and figured that I'd be able to sit back and relax in the local bar that evening. I turned in the case only to find out that City Hall disagreed with me. I'm still on the killer's trail, but my best lead turned out to be a dud. It's only a matter of time before they strike again . . .

Good case, I like it when they're not quite straightforward. I had one where there was a single common person called "Yuma" that the two first victims knew, but he wasn't the murderer. In that case I found with the third murder that it was someone in the same company as him within the same social circles, but never getting close enough to anyone to get on their address book. Purely through coincidence it almost looked like she was trying to frame her coworker, basically not aiming for people within the company but people her coworker Yuma knew. If the corpos ever bothered investigating anything, the starch cola enforcers would've just slapped the cuffs on Yuma and called it a day.

I don't really like that often the only way to solve a case is to cross-reference address books, and in case of a single victim, printing citizen files for fingerprints.

Yeah I definitely wish there were more routes you could take to actually identify your killer. It seems half the time it's normally just a fingerprint or a calling card for me.

Comparing witness reports with security footage is my go to, it's just about impossible for there to be no witnesses at all. And if that doesn't work there's sales records as very reliable sources as well. I don't think I've ever had a murder reduced to randomly searching the database for prints, side jobs sure but murders leave so many trails there's always something to pull on.

​@@Graknorkethis is the way. I remember the first time I got my first case of random killing (my victim was being stalked for days). I simply gave up because there was no connection at all between the suspect and the victim's partner and co workers. But then something passed my mind, I could've checked the CCTV before, it would've made my investigation clearer. So I checked the camera and found someone lurking around during victim's time of death. But something was fishy, she didn't matched the description because she's skinny. Victim's neighbors said that there was an odd looking person with an average build walking around the floor. Again, I almost gave up because I didn't see anyone with the same build during victim's time of death, until my brain told me to check the camera's timeline right BEFORE his time of death. My brain was right, an average build creepy looking dude was there at 12:08 (victim's dead around 12:48-14:00). Turns out, he was really the killer. Took some time to catch him because he was unemployed and I had to ask around.

at the start of the game a murder happens, the reason why it takes longer for it to pop up is because the body hasn’t been found and reported yet. Hope this helps:)

I rested at the opening of the subway entrance and thousands rushed up, bodies started cramming like sardines, no personal space and the air turned heavy. It should be 3 on your keyboard. If you hit X and bring up your inventory, it'll show you what to press for your stuff. Like your watch, fists, fingerprint scanner..

Had to check them out to see if we sounded alike and yeah we definitely do a little bit. I haven't had any problems with printing emails but the new update did just come out so it could be a small bug of some sorts.

I think, with the mods you have on, any city seeds people hand in may not be the same for you as it was them, but I didn't know that if you didn't solve a murder, the next murderer would be the same person, that would've helped a lot in my playthrough

@@actingapple3607 check out Thunderstore.io , it's sorta like Nexus mods if you're familiar with modding. Search for the SoD community, you gotta download a mod manager, but once you do that, downloading them is very easy. There is only like 15 of them i think at the moment, so hopefully we'll get some more soon.

It does take a while for them to activate sometimes for me too. I usually just save from the go, and then if it takes too long, wait, and then reload. Then I know around what time the murder happens if it's taking too long.

why does the lack of crime drive you nuts? i have a game once go like 3 days no murders* then i got like 2 corpes droping in about 5 min of one another and thus overwelm my still learning brain im now able to handle this, but i also got an appartment to pay bills on...

It only bothers me when I'm trying to record and make content but then nothing happens at all. Sometimes a murder happens immediately, sometimes I have to wait days. So I just mess around until something happens usually, especially since playing in newer cities

In the last two vids, I've been trying to make the game a lil harder for me. So I've set rules like don't buy lockpicks, try not to abuse money, don't use the city hall database, don't use the fingerprint scanner that much.. I feel without that stuff, I end up doing more legit detective work and it ends up being better overall
