David Matusiewicz was married to Christine Belford, having three daughters with her. Whey they divorced a huge saga would begin. From Nicaragua to bizarre websites and KZbin videos, ending violently in a court house, the Matusiewicz's would do anything to get custody.

And this woman put all her grandchildren's full names online saying they had s** with their mother. She did that! And it's still online! She also put Christine's daughter from another marriage online and of course claimed that at 8 that little girl was "torturing" her grandchildren. She is so sick but I've known other people online and seen other things online sadly equally as sick. 1% of the population being psychopaths is still a lot of people given world population now.

@@AC-ze1nh that's what I was going to say. I'm positive that's what Mike said, that it was a cold support hearing. Looked it up, it was a hearing about child support as David wanted it reduced. David had lost all parental rights at this point. He and his family were ordered to stay away from Christine and the three girls. What I find weird is that he was paying child support when he had lost parental rights, which seems odd, but nothing about this case was normal.

Dear bella: This is what happens when you marry someone before thoroughly checking out their background. This Matusiewicz family was obviously CRAZY long before Christine married into it. This type of profound mental illness doesn't just appear overnight, or when a divorce happens. These days you can do a complete online background search on ANYONE for as little as $30. Had Christine bothered to check out this family and seriously consider what she discovered, I doubt that she would've married into it. We live in an Anonymous Society where we only personally know a small fraction of all the people who we encounter each day. Years as a True Crime fan have sadly shown me that only a FOOL would let a stranger into their life either for romance or business before thoroughly investigating their background first. That may sound like paranoid thinking because it is, in fact, paranoid thinking. But being a little paranoid is a survival strategy in an Anonymous Society where strangers can enter your personal life at any time.

I am at a loss for words. These poor kids. I hope their foster family is great to them, and helps them heal. My parents took in foster kids. As the years went on, more and more of them came out of the woodwork to track my parents down and thank them. Forty-two kids passed through my mom and dad's house, some as short as a couple of weeks, some as much as several years. Some of the kids had such traumas heaped on their small shoulders, and my parents helped those kids. I only hope these kids were as lucky, and can experience some healing.

Those grandparents were insane and they really failed as grandparents and as humans in general. They escalated the situation when they should have been trying to talk their son down, talk some sense into him. They helped to ruin everyone's lives and then they both died. That's kind of like " They fell out of the crazy tree and hit every branch on the way down." Some people use ugly instead of crazy, but I never heard it that way growing up. This family is absolutely delusional. They dreamed up, reinforced and cemented these whackadoo ideas in each other's minds. Believe it or not, I've met people like this before. The reason they can cry so easily, passionately defend themselves and act as if they're fighting for justice, is because they repeat the lies so many times that they begin to believe them. Because they WANT to believe them. It's INSANE. Sometimes, the only way that you can begin to root out if there was ever even truth to any of the words that come from their mouths, is by trying to wade through it. Better yet, when you meet people like this, turn and run fast!

I just read an update about Christine's daighters. Her oldest daughter, Katherine, is a beautiful and smart young woman who has a daughter herself. She bravely took the stand at the family's sentencing hearing and told the court that Christine was a wonderful mom who never hurt or abused any of her girls. She also told the court that she believed the family would never stop trying to take her sisters, by any means necessary, and asked the court to put them away for life for their protection. The 3 little girls were put into foster care and she has not had any contact with them whatsoever since the day of the shooting when they were taken. She doesn't even have updates about them. She hopes that they will be reunited once the girls are older. Absolutely heartbreaking. Edits: punctuation errors.

So the argument "we were just trying to protect the kids" falls apart given they never once told police about this supposed molestation before he kidnapped the kids. Also it gives no explanation for why he killed the friend who had nothing to do with anything. As if anyone would believe such flagrant lies.
