Thanks for another great reaction to Courtney my friend. It's almost impossible to believe Courtney was only 14 when she put the four songs out on her cover sessions. It's so great to watch someone like you, who knows and understands music, to know and see what Courtney does vocally is just unbelievable. Especially when she's only 14, she's always been way ahead her years in her vocals. As you continue to react to Courtney you'll see Courtney does things vocally that no other artist can match. When the music starts she has so much confidence in her vocals she never holds back, she will always attack it full on with power and passion. She practices her vocal training every day so much so that she does them while running in place. She does this to make sure her breath control is perfect while doing her high energy stage preferences. She attacks her stage preferences just like her vocals, over a hundred miles and hour. Yes there's no one out there today that can match Courtney vocally and she's been doing this from the very start. At times when you see her do things she does while preforming, it kinda makes you wonder if Courtney is really from this planet. Everytime you watch her you think well I just saw her best, but it's not. Everytime you watch her she's going to do something that blows you completely away and leave your jaw on the floor. We've all been waiting a long while for her release of her first album, but that's okay. We all know how much of a perfectionist Courtney is about her music and vocals, the wait is nothing to what the world is going to see and hear when the day of her release happens. Thank you!! Superb reaction to Courtney. As a singer yourself you gave her all the accolades she was due. You get her. So much to fill you in on about Courtney. The room she was in was part of the studio she was in where they keep all their amps and equipment. She mentioned that they took a break from recording her album and recorded the 4 song mini EP which she released in 2019 at all the media outlets like Spotify, etc. You brought up so many great comments to go into more about, but I'll try to keep it short. The 2 musicians are session guys, not in a band with her (Edu Bisogno and Lael Goldberg. They go around the world contributing to many artist's music and play for them on stage as fill ins. If you watch them closely you'll see them smiling at each other when watching Courtney dance and sing past the half way point. They both mentioned on their Instagram how impressed they were with her. I realize your busy with loads of reactions for Patreon, but if we don't fill you in on all that Courtney can do you'll be missing out on one of the best new artists in music. You know she can sing ballads already from "Sign of the Times". She really shows her talent off when she does upbeat songs where she can move on stage. That room didn't allow her to show off how great a performer she really is. But she still went off in a confined area. As I said so much more to say about Courtney. I'll just say if you keep reacting to Courtney her 2 auditions for both The Voice Kids UK in 2017 and AGT the following year got her widely recognized and both performances will leave you stunned. Great reaction! Courtney is 18 today. When she did these four session covers, she was 14 years old soon to be 15. Her voice then was already beyond her age. I don't know any singer today who sings or can even sing like her. She is unique. Really looking forward to her album.

The Jonas Brothers wrote and put out this song originally. Courtney's version is just so much better that there is no comparison. Courtney's Voice is second to none and if you watch her facial expressions you can " feel " her music as well ! Loved your reaction; it was one of the best I've seen on a Courtney performance. Hey Nick. Really great reaction. You are so right. Courtney has her own lane. Nobody in music has or does sound anything like her. She is completely unique. With her incredible unmatched vocal power, range and control combined with her amazing creativity, she is blazing a path through music that is, as of yet, untraveled. There are a number of great singers, but very few that do things that have never been done before and change the face of music. Those are the artists for which we reserve the term legend, and Courtney will one day be held in that level of reverence. A true generational level talent that can sing just about anything and do it better than just about anyone else. She even had an opera clip go viral on TikTok. The one thing you haven't seen yet is how Courtney can totally dominate a stage. She is a stage beast in the very best sense of the word. And at 12 singing "Nutbush" Tina Turner To see the judges faces light up as they were quite royally entertained by this cute and pretty little thing is a delight. However, as cute and powerfully packed as her performance was her voice is simply astonishing and you just can't help but be transported back to the day when stars just announced their presence and we say "okay! Allright! Whatever you need!" And from there it's just a waiting game. Like it used to be, waiting for the next 45rpm to drop as we read up on every scrap of news and song sheets, lyric books etc I'm 66 but I feel like a kid again. The new songs are dropping now - go look, you will find them. But I am ever so grateful to her for sharing her clips like "Say Something" Christine Aguilera or Elvis "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" or Jackson 5 "Who's Loving You" at even more tender years (around 10 or 11) - She is going to be great for her entire career but these of her as a child (see her do Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" or 😊Whitney's "I Have Nothing!) just show how absolutely certain this now beautiful young woman has always been with every aspect of her talented mind and body. @@darrenbent7601 Top 40s in most countries these days are partial to certain types of music and singers....like heavily autotuned singers, computer instruments (not played by real musicians using real instruments), heavily produced etc. Ya get the feel of things. Real singers and real talent these days do not excel in the mainstream charts......they kinda go underground and are considered cool by real quality musicians. Unlike in the 20th century chart success today is not indicative of talent or quality.

Don't we all. I'm sure there's some reasons why they haven't released anything from her commercially yet. She's mentioned she has loads of studio recordings when asked in her interview with Howie. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that when Sony bought out Simon for all his music artists signed, a revamping on the part of Sony took place. Sony gave artists the opportunity to opt out. But Sony could have also decided to just dropped many of them. Nothing was printed about what actually happened afterwards except that Simon and Sony made a swap basically. He go full rights to all Got Talent TV and Sony got money and rights to all artist Simon ever signed. Anyway my guess is Courtney doesn't have rights to any music she recorded when she was with Simon now probably owned by Sony and had to record new material after that deal by Sony and Simon. Of course Covid played a big part for her to travel to the USA which is where she's be recording in studios. Could be so many other possibilities too, but I doubt very much Courtney is dying to be out there performing again, at the very least. Something is going on that she can't say.

Fourth, 'Monsters' debuted on Billboard's 'Hard Rock Digital Song Sales' chart at #19, where almost all of the top 25 songs were by top old rock bands like AC/DC, Queen, and more. VERY GOOD company for this soon-to-be-SUPERSTAR. 4 professional music videos, lyric vids, and her own, unique, original album of HER songs done HER way is finally going to be finished and released. All this by an 18-19 year old young lady having to do it all as an indie musician, since labels never did anything for her since she was co-signed by Simon Cowell's Syco Music (UK) and Sony's Arista (USA) in Dec 2018 when she was still 14yo. Then 'Woodstock 50' (where she was on list to perform Saturday of historic anniversary weekend music festival) got canceled. Then pandemic hit. Then Simon abandoned music industry for his reality-TV empire, and the label apparently ghosted a bunch of artists after sale. Not sure what happened to Ms. Courtney's contracts, as Sony still owned Arista, but somehow she wound up with nothing released (despite her promises that she'd been promised her debut album would be out 'Soon') and too much of her fan-base lost as pandemic dragged on and on and as live music industry rapidly went from critical care to mortuary. Then the European 'FM4 Frequency Festival' showed her on their play bill. Then that too got cancelled. By the next year, something had changed and Ms. Courtney (or her label?) cancelled her planned appearance at the next FM4 Frequency Festival. It's been a WILD and frustrating ride for this youngster. Teenage years are hard enough, but she's been living through all sorts of exceedingly frustrating cancellations and broken promises, internet trolls (her AGT audition at 13yo went viral, estimates are more than one, possibly two BILLION views, total, of her various performances on TVK-UK, AGT, & AGT: The Champions via KZbin and TikTok and all her reaction videos. Fortunately, she's made of sterner stuff, choosing as her virtual mentors via KZbin superstars like Ms. Tina Turner, Mr. James Brown, and many other greats with a SERIOUS work-ethic. These challenges, too, will pass, and she WILL BECOME the superstar she's destined to be. Love your reaction, especially when that musical DNA from the gospel roots of old-school rock-n-roll show through! Love that voice! Love that performer. If you haven't already, go back and react to the LAST time we saw her onstage with a big audience, when she was still 14, on AGT: The Champions in Jan 2019 just after she was signed and started working on her debut album with the labels that signed her. SHOW-READY performance, IMHO, the best insight we have into what we WOULD HAVE seen if Woodstock 50 had gone on. And with an ORIGINAL SONG at that. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! The original was taken down, of course, as all those originals have been, yet those performances live on, as do the hordes of reactions to each of them. Still just 14 when recorded, but 15 when she released them one song at a time in the summer of 2019. Not trying to be anal.Just explaining more of what she was going through the year before on AGT. The reason for the 4 songs she said was she wanted to show a different side of her from when she was on AGT. She got some hate for different reasons from a bunch of fans of other music or contestants on that show. So after she got signed she took time from her recording session to record these 4 songs of ballads and pop songs that were huge hits and re-invented them to show more of her talent. It certainly worked. Many of the same names who were hating on her during AGT commented on how impressed they were with her and didn't realize that she could sing differently.

Courtney is hugely shy..........that shyness disappears when she sings. When she appeared on America's Got Talent she had to be the last performer because her nerves made her throw up and she thought she would get all red X's ...........she got the Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel who compared her to Janis Joplin. She used to watch old blues videos on the internet - she loved James Brown, and many Gospel singers and Janis Joplin. She copied dance moves and did her own versions, she is an old soul in a very young body.

lol, like an act? She's an entertainer, of course it's an act. What singer doesn't act while singing? As for it sounding "forced", I'm not even sure what that means. She's forcing her voice out? Well yes, especially on rocking songs like this one, not so much on ballads. Her voice and breath control is excellent throughout her many recordings. These critiques don't make much sense. And it sounds like you have heard other songs of hers. If you don't like her, why are you watching these vids of her and commenting? There is something off about this comment I have to wonder at your motives.

@@bertpainter8385 Well it reminded me of when she started gaining success on AGT and all these haters started coming out of the woodwork to disparage her. Saying things like " she isn't really shy because she was on other talent shows prior to AGT so she must be faking it or "she can't sing and her dancing sucks". It's obvious she is shy when not singing. No one claimed AGT was her first talent show. This was a humble 13 year old girl trying to realize her dream, with a very supportive father by her side and for some reason people were picking on her. I have to admit that it really pissed me off, lol, so maybe I'm being overly triggered in this case. 😜

I'd say we fans are very trigger happy when it comes to anything that seems negative towards her. For many of us old timers she's like a family member who we will defend like our own. I see it with most fans regardless of their age. She deserves the best. She's had a enough setbacks since getting signed to make the average artists want to give up, yet you'd never know it. She always seems upbeat.
