Ferelun There's something similar to that. I got some Philips ear plugs and around the two chords is a small circle thing that you can move up to keep the two earplugs together. Rich people who have so much money in their bank don't want their money to become less valuable. That's why some rich people buy jewelries to maintain their wealth for a long time. Jewelries are meant to be kept for a long time. If you are a person who have an average income, can't afford to keep jewelries for a long time and have to sell them the day after you bought it, might as well not buy it in the first place because you are just wasting money and time.

And money may be "usefull" - okay - but it would be even more useful if it would not exist. Today our civilization couldn't work without money anymore because we're kinda "addicted" but without money people would have eventually got used to only take what they really need and that would have spared us alot of trouble.

Java Plays All that may be true but if you look at it, greed and poverty is the logical result of capitalism. Every cent you own is only worth something because someone else lacks that cent. That way, as long as there are people who have money, there will also be people who don't have money. This entire sytem is based upon imbalance. The monetary system might have started as a good idea, as it really had benefits compared to the classic trading system. And I don't think that someone could have possibly envisioned where it would lead, but if people had and they wouldn't have developed this system in the first place, I'm pretty sure people wouldn't deal at all. They would have delivered their goods to the community and in return take just as much as they need. Over time that would have become a matter of course. I'm so sure because some early cultures actually started out like this or tried to build up a system like this but frankly it's to late now. The human civilization is completely addicted to money now. It's a bummer actually.
