Microbiome health (diversity and quantity) are critical. Using chemicals, isolation, environmental factors, bad food, and chronic stress are killers for the little helpers.

I've heard Casey mention in another podcast she recommendeds eating in an 8 hr window, from like 11 am to 7 pm. But I've heard Dr. Lyon say we should aim for 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight per day. And they both recommended having 30 grams of protein in each meal. I'm 200 lbs so, would you rec I eat 50 grams of protein over the course of 4 meals every two hrs?

You totally lost me at canned food especially sardines and fish. Animal products especially the fish right now are absolutely unhealthy. I am disappointed . I thought this was about raw vegan. Too bad.

Veganism is a cult that has nothing to do with health.

Please can you provide me with some hard facts why Fish and animal proteins and fats are so bad for your health? I myself am living proof that eating a low carb diet works. I’m 61 and have gone from a metabolic mess ( 15 plus stone,180/90, and very unfit) to a fit (11 stone, 125/70 ) aerobically fit, mentally sharper happier individual. The food industry is working in hand with the medical industry, that is a fact.🥩🥓🍳🐟

You can be completely healthy on a Whole Foods omnivore diet. Not saying vegan isn’t healthy, but many people have sensitivities/intolerances that prevent them from eating that way. Plus, raw vegan is very restrictive, and may not provide the essential nutrients (see below) to be healthy. I am one of them - was vegetarian and then vegan for almost a decade and was sick despite eating healthy foods. Turns out I had sensitivities to gluten/wheat, almost all beans/legumes, and even some veggies 😞 I didn’t react to fish, eggs, or other animal proteins. So I eat them to maintain my health now. In the best metabolic health/shape of my life, as I approach 45 years old. Elimination of processed food and added sugar is huge to maintain or regain health. You should read Casey’s book. She doesn’t believe in diet dogma. Genetics, and epigenetics cause variation between dietary patterns from person to person. She advocates building each meal around fiber, protein, pre/probiotics, omega-3’s, and antioxidants. You can include foods containing those components with many dietary patterns - based on food sensitivities or preference (plant based, omnivore, keto, low carb, etc.). She is so right - and it’s refreshing to hear her approach to health.
