I hope you have plans to continue the series of the two-sides of cognitive functions based on Dario Nardi's book. It was almost like us participating in a book club with your additional commentary, which I thought was great and really enjoy! Thanks~

INTP here and it takes a lot of effort to use Se. In fact, I know that I often miss a lot of in the moment details that I triple check what I just saw/heard/smelt/felt

Mover Se sounds like SLE and SEE in socionics. This is a great video, I really love Dario Nardi's work and recently saw some interviews with him talking about the subtypes, which was extremely enlightening, especially how he correlated cerain hormones or neurotransmitters with each subtype.

I have been typed esfp and I am still doubting the type, because it has been so difficult for me to understand what SE actually is and it has been really difficult for me to relate to socionics. But I can really relate to the holistic side of Se. I love cooking, dancing, doing yoga, being in nature, I actually also love reading - but especially if you can “feel” the book and they describe the sensation of the characters - if it makes sense. One of my favourite things is autumn leaves and I love a good cop of tea. It is not because of a memory and I am not nostalgic - but just because of the sensation of it. I can see myself in the analytical Se when it comes to walking on difficult mountains or trying surfing (maybe it is both the holistic and analytical side). Thanks for a really good video☺️

When comparing Si trickster of my ENFJ wife to my own Se trickster, the contrast becomes clearer to me. Se really concerns the outside world and how the self interfaces with that. Si is more concerned with the body in relation to itself or the inside world. Both tricksters can make similar mistakes but for different reasons. Se trickster can be clumsy in not paying attention to things around me. Si trickster is often clumsy in not paying attention to the body in relation to itself. Tripping on ones own feet, hurting/bruising ones self and not even realize it happened etc. Se also moves in two directions. Input/output. Se takes in Input to feed ni seeing what's going on in case Ni wants to also do that. Ni wants to give an Se performance - Output. This accounts for two types of Se preference. Another way to look at it, Se also opposes shadow Si. The higher a function is in the stack, the more in-tune that user may be in using the shadow function. Si being the sensual, internal sensing faction.

I used to be a mover Se, but now, I am more of a sensate Se, maybe to my age, But you said to 'merge' both type, might have given me some ideas. -ESTP

Hey, Matt, super interesting video. Is it possible that Yang Se would be a person's 1st or 3rd function, and the Yin Se would be a 2nd or 4th function?
@TheAncientSpirits4 ай бұрын
Not sure I understand the question. In my experience, looking at the database of clients and hearing from people as well as observing, it looks like yin or yang can show up in any position. For example, one ESTP could be more yin Se, and another ESTP could be more yang Se. Both have Se as 1st function, but this difference will definitely color how they come off to others.

I will say I am more a sensate than a mover, even though I am more facinated by the mover. I remember as a child I was idealizing ALF for him as a mover, since it would often led to novel shenanigans, which would led to a story. I often get into the conflict of being good versus just go for this and have a new story, even if it is the dumbest thing anyone has ever done. At least I would be able to tell the story of, how I did the dumbest thing anyone has ever done. That might be why INFPs has Se as their seventh function, imagine if we actually lived all the lives we live in our head.😄 We would at least be able to say, we were alive on our final day.😉

I think Mover might take A LOT of activation energy for most INFPs. But I’m sure it’s well worth it.

Se, it sounds so attractive 🥰 (an INFP here 🤷♀️).

I tend to gravitate more towards yang, yet again. Yin seems to be exclusively attached to my vices (sugary sweets, sodas, smoking) A recent example of this (Yang Se) is an interaction I had on a subreddit for a band that I love. A person had posted an image of Kamala Harris holding one of the band's albums. Many users chimed in, asking that politics stay off the page. Those users were downvoted into oblivion. The sentiment "it's not political" became popular on this post. So, I posted an image of Donald Trump holding a different album, and users lost their collective minds! I assured many of them that, just like the previous post with Harris, mine was not political. The feelings, oh the feelings. All that rage and anger over a picture that took me 3 minutes to make. Some of them even attempted to condemn me, saying that it's clearly politically motivated. But you see, I just did what they were doing. I simply turned it on its head. If I were truly a conservative, I'd have made a complete mockery of their feeble attempts to control the narrative. As they say "Meme them until they cry, then make memes about them crying" - Sun Tzu

Sorry I don’t see the connection. How is it related to… Yin Se?
@TheRisingSun34185 ай бұрын
@@GeekPsychologydid you mean Yang Se? Considering that's what the vast majority of my comment was about. If you're interested in my take on how Yin Se seems to be exclusively attached to my vices. It's fairly straightforward and simple. I absolutely love sweet things "absorbing sensory experiences", "enjoying life's pleasures". I'm sure there's more, but I'll stop here just in case.

I assume he was asking how making memes on the internet to troll people counts as Se at all? Lmao @@TheRisingSun3418
