I test drove this and the Blazer EV and I preferred this due to the styling and packaging. I like the normal door handles and the redundant knobs and switches. Would consider leasing it but want the elite trim and I’m not seeing deals on those. I don’t feel confident buying because GM and Honda have already gone their separate ways and I’m not sure how long or well Honda will support this. I’d definitely have to have North Shore Pearl. I’m glad that it seems to be selling well. The horsepower is adequate, I’d like to have more like 350 hp as it’s a big car. The Blazer has nicer looking infotainment and instruments cluster screens but I’d trade them for CarPlay.

Same. Test drove the Blazer EV, Equinox EV, Lyric and EV9 (coming from a Model 3 and Bolt EV). I wish it had the rear camera mirror and super cruise from the Blazer EV, but that’s about it. Styling in and out, and the ride… I strongly prefer the Honda. The Lyric is really nice, but a lot more money. Same for the EV9 (Land or GT-Line). There are lease deals for the Elites. It’s not like Honda would only do the EX and Touring… they just aren’t advertised because they aren’t as cheap (and thus attractive). I mean… $225/month vs $367/month… but relative to MSRP it’s still a deal. My local dealer has blown out almost all their Prologues from around 50 to only a few EX and Touring left (I snatched up the last Elite). I wanted to go back to a SUV/hatchback and more space. I looked at the EV6 (but didn’t drive) several times as well and considered the Mach-E, but they just seemed a little too small. It’s a 3 year lease and we’ll see what things are like at that time.

First GREAT review, love your ability to spew facts that are vehicle specific every time! Second, I’d love a hybrid, why can’t they make an RV with the same electric motors, AND a small engine. I’d love the ability to go all electric for 200 miles, run on gas/diesel engine for say 300 miles to recharge everything, and then go another 200 miles on battery. (Or any combo of that, I know my numbers are off.) 😊
@ikjadoonАй бұрын
I think they already have the CRV hybrid and this may be a little too close. Though I think the Passport / Pilot w/ a hybrid would be a great option. But the literal answer may be that this is based on GM's Ultium platform, which is an BEV-only platform. Ultium unfortunately does not allow for a hybrid system, at least the current version.
@Erin-ThorАй бұрын
@ - I believe (as in I’m not sure) that those you mentioned are assisted electrically, like their newer turbo charged engines. Meaning that the electric motors are only able to increase mileage by adding a bit of boost. What I’d love is the battery and electric motors of a fully electric vehicle, but with a gas engine, preferably with an additional alternator. GMC/Chevrolet more than a decade back teased a prototype of their Yukon/Denali hybrid vehicle that was supposed to get just under 30 mpg, and had a range of about 700 miles total or combined.

New achievement unlocked - honda finally has a 360 camera with actual camera views , not the stupid , useless matching 360 camera like toyota .

Fiat 500e offering in Colorado a $0.00 per Month lease for 27 Months is a wakeup call to the entire Industry yes this is an amazing first effort at pure play BEV for Honda and they would be well served to sustain as close a relationship with GM as possible given all that GM is now doing holistically with pure play BEV but none of which anyone is doing remotely compares to Tesla still and both Rivian and Lucid are not at all looking in the rear view mirror as relates to legacy Das Auto either/as well. Verdict: *"kiss and make up invades Japan Inc suddenly"* 😊😊

Re-badging as a strategy never works. Nobody believes even for a nano-second that this is a real Honda. Honda did that decades back with the Isuzu Rodeo/Honda Passport, and it did not work then either.

IDK why it bothers me so much. Must be my ocd but why is Honda not in caps on the back :( HONDA would look so much better IMO

Come on Honda! You lost me to a Model 3 7 years ago and still haven’t put out your own comparable sedan! What’s the delay??

We get it- this is a GM vehicle. Honda could have used more "Honda" parts if they wanted to. They chose not to. If you want this vehicle, you have to accept that this is a "sub-standard" GM product. And like it was said, this is a pre-production model. I don't understand the revulsion of GM products, like they are tainted. I know I'll get a lot of negative responses.

As an enthusiast, if I'm going to trade the convenience of fueling and sound of an ICE, I want the power and instant punch of, say, the Model Y performance. This has neither.

@@plutonium9 for $60k you can get a slightly used Porsche Taycan from 2021. Would take that over this

This car seems like you ask a car maker that does not want to make an electric vehicle and you force them to do it. They keep resisting and you tell them just to copy a GM EV. They still don't want to do it and it becomes a half assed effort. This is car version of a kid that doesn't want to eat his vegetables.

Prologue is the best EV on the market. It is great because it is made by GM. It drives better than new Honda CRV and new Honda Pilot.

At 20:35 my prologue elite does the same thing when making a hard right turn or hard left turn. Also when reversing if it’s raining or foggy the auto brakes kick in all the time. Even if turned off on settings it still automatically activates. Extremely annoying trying to get out a parking spot. Car has so many issues. Stay away

Where do you 394 commenter's live????? I'm from the East Coast. Resale value matters. Howww many Fords, and GMs are on our American roads????? Millionssss of buyers chose American. So the fact we can't see location nor ethnicity on KZbin creates a huge propaganda on most topics. Asian brands partnered with GM BECAUSE GM HAS AMAZING RELIABLE INNOVATIVE CLASS LEADING MECHANICS AND SOFTWARE. HATERS

The one and only reason they are popular is because honda put out so many incentives the car is basically free. I sell Hondas and we had a 24 month lease on this car for $189 per month with zero down. The dealership lost money on every single unit just to dump them before 2025 because we are scared to keep them in stock. Almost every car had a ton of issues. If you get one LEASE IT! dont buy it they are extremely unreliable and noone at honda knows how to fix them since they are basically a blazer ev
