Dr. Li, something interesting I have found recently is that the organic strawberries 🍓 I bought recently lasted much longer without getting moldy and going bad than the nonorganic ones I had been buying. So going forward I'll be buying organic strawberries.

This is so funny---I watched this while having my breakfast (which I eat at normal lunchtime because I do IF), eating a boiled egg with avocado whole-grain toast, followed by fresh organic fruit with yogurt and a sprinkling of cashews and cinnamon, and a couple of cups of black Ceylon tea. (Ceylon, a.k.a. Sri Lanka, apparently produces the least contaminated tea leaves. Info online.)

When I break my fast , meaning my 7 day water only fast on the first day of each month I eat the first day a full size cucumber sprinkled with a touch of Himalayan salt. Later I'll have a fruit. The next day I go back to eating my normal diet. I've been doing this since my mid 20s.

This is one of my favorite breakfast, after drinking coffee first thing in the morning: home made yogurt made with low fat milk, with fresh fruit and homemade granola with oats, seeds and nuts. I make the granola with some olive oil, honey and cinnamon.

Yes glad to see we are already doing these foods - if in a hurry on an early work day will take some Purition protein powder and soy or cashew milk in to have with an apple or pear. Also love high protein sourdough toasted with hummus on topped with seeds 👍🏻

If your weight loss is not intentional and not a healthy weight range, go to your own local Dr. Plenty of ways to gain weight including eating more food, weightlifting, and drinking vegetable/protein powder mix with frozen fruit.

Eat all your meals. Do not fast. Sometimes losing too much weight is linked to disease. Give yourself a health check. Eating a lot of nuts might help.

I am trying to gain some weight. I don’t eat junk food, don’t drink or smoke. I eat meat rice ( seafood) and vegetable don’t drink sodas water only. I hardly eat sweet 5ft. 100 lb. Exercise 4-5 times a week trying to lifting weights this year but have been working out for 39 years, 70 y/o .

Dr Li , I love watching your videos this is such great info. But I hear a lot of conflicting information about yogurt. Most fat free Greek yogurt I have seen has no added emulsifiers. The only difference is it’s made with skim milk rather than whole milk. From my understanding all milk starts out as skim. In processing they first remove all fat, then they add back in fat for the whole milk.

I still remember when I was a kid the milkman would deliver to our door glass bottles of organic milk that had a layer of real cream on the top. Unprocessed milk is whole milk with healthy fats. Skim milk is milk with the fat removed ie processed milk.

I've read in several places that it's best to avoid yogurt made with homogenized milk (or to drink homogenized milk) because the homogenizing process is unnatural and bad for the arteries. Not a medical researcher so I don't know, but because I can get "cream-top" yogurt (unhomogenized---you mix in the top cream with the thinner yogurt beneath it) I buy that, and it tastes better to me anyway. Also, a small spoonful of the top cream by itself is a joy. 😋 Regarding commercial plant milks in coffee and tea, most of these have emulsifiers.

Oat milk raises your blood sugar significantly, it’s basically just sugar water. That’s why I stopped drinking oat milks. Look at the nutrition facts and you’ll see. Vegetable oils are the worst, highly inflammatory.
