@AnyaAnnika679 ай бұрын
The irony is it's not actually catering for cognitive INFJs as Wenzes from a Jungian perspective is a divergent NiFi ESFP & im saying this as an expert typologist & mental health prof. I'm not espousing that Wenzes isn't trying to help people but the fact there's no gatekeeping to ascertain whether someone is an INFJ (which people aren't on this site in fact they're NiTi blind) is astounding & concerning. I also find it curious that the only comment advocating the bootcamp is the comment Wenzes likes as she rarely comments or likes any comments - very suspect indeed. In terms of Jungian typology the goal is to individuate & integrate aspects of the psyche/neural pathways of other types no live an ESFP epic life. Im not meaning to be derogatory only objective; I can't abide pseudoscience. Wenzes appeals to ubiquitous behavioural stereotypes when it comes to the supposed INFJ which isn't predicated upon cognition at all. People really need to do their homework before espousing that they're an INFJ simply because they relate to the content, feel misunderstood or took numerous invalid dubious tests that said they're an INFJ. I'd check out Cognitive Personality Theory & Michael Pierce for type clarification. It makes you no less special being an ESFP. It's simply cognition there's no inherent value judgement. Sure go ahead if you get something out of it I just can't condone the lack of scientific robustness (in fact there's none at all) in ascertaining who is & who isn't an INFJ. INFJs are primarily abstract cerebral conceptualises owing to convergent NiTi. As a professionally typed convergent TiNi user it's pretty clear to me that Wenzes is TiNi blind in fact in terms of outside the box thinking, she's about as in the box as you can get - ESFPs are NiTi blind. The goal is to integrate those parts of our unconscious selves & better understand others. I'm glad it's helped those around you but Wenzes repeatedly tries to distinguish the ESFP & place them on a pedestal compared to other types; this is the antithesis of what Jung had in mind.
@Rubedo889 ай бұрын
@@AnyaAnnika67 curious have you ever done the bootcamp?
@AnyaAnnika679 ай бұрын
@@Rubedo88no why would I? As I said the scientific robustness is obsolete nevermind lacking. Plus if it's advertised as an INFJ epic life bootcamp then people are sorely misinformed. Wenzes is not a cognitive INFJ again as an expert typologist with credentials in the area she is a divergent NiFi ESFP - cognition isn't personal it's evidently apparent what cognitive processes were utilising when we communicate. I'm not saying she doesn't inadvertently help people and she probably does help people with similar personality traits but does she help cognitive INFJs?...that's a definitive no. Again I'd refer people to the likes of CPT, Michael Pierce etc who are INFJs for a conceptual overview of Jungian typology & where it can help with the process of individuation & better understanding between people. Wenzes may not do this in her bootcamp but in her videos she makes disparaging comments about other people besides her own niche not being able to read people, not thinking outside the box etc which is antithetical to the goals of Jungian individuation and the notion of the collective unconscious. Im simply espousing that people need to utilise their critical thinking skills before investing their money. As a confirmed TiNi conscious users it's evident that I'd do this as well as being a mental health prof. Fundamentally I find it to rest on ethically dubious grounds given the lack of gatekeeping & predicated on pseudoscience. Wenzes plays, probably unknowingly to ubiquitous behavioural stereotypes when it comes to qualifying one as an INFJ or not, this again is pseudoscience. I mean no offence to Wenzes again she probably is helping people but again this has naff all to do with being a cognitive INFJ and as a typologist I find the misinformation offensive & it does little to take typology out of the pseudoscience it's become thanks to such endeavours. Conversely, I have invested in a much more transport CPT service that has done much to expand my own neural pathways & understand others better. Wenzes in her videos has a certain grandiose contempt for other types besides the cognitive divergent ESFP which, yes, I do f offence this is not in the spirit of Jung. If she doesn't do this in the boot camp then she's contradicting herself. Fundamentally I dislike Wenzes ideology it has nothing to do with her being an ESFP (indeed my fiancé is one) or her as a person. CPT conversely encourages critical debate to expand the theory & we meet at no charge once a month to discuss this. Harry is the epitome of a cognitive INFJ who's trying to implement his Fe authority via his NiTi abstract cerebral conceptualisation. At the end of the day if someone is selling me something TiNi wants to know the science & logic behind it. If the bootcamp is anything akin to what Wenzes espouses in her videos - pseudoscience - then why would I pay for it? I'm assuming the Wenzes doesn't get into the NiTi nitty gritty re the theory behind her claims however if there is a philosophical theory I'd genuinely love to here it. I'm not being negativistic for the sake of it, again I have a very critical & detached TiNi & intend to use it. INFJs would have, like me of a similar cognition, a very critical mind of what they're likely to enter before throwing money at it. ...where's the longitudinal peer reviewed studies etc? Yes CPT has conducted research at a prestigious British university & has books conceptualising the theory...this is what INFJs do best. They are first & foremost abstract cerebral conceptualisers. That why I ask Wenzes, where's your theory instead of relying on Reddit & quora posts to back up your perceptions of INFJs of her own subjective experience? If it ain't scientifically verifiable similar to my INTJ cousins I ain't paying for it. The reason Wenzes has so many followers & why it resonates with so many people is because she's referring to personality traits that shouldn't be conflated with cognition (psychology 101). In contrast actual cognitive INFJs are a rare breed. Sure help people but don't advertise it as an INFJ epic life bootcamp (even the name smacks of SeTe) it's false advertisement.

This really resonated with me. I was born third of seven siblings, and analyzed them endlessly. I was very lonely even within that large family, and have continued to be lonely among others ever since. I grew to be able to channel my INFJ passion and insight into acting, studying the motivations of others and illustrating them for everybody. I'm 68 now and have become a sort of grand dame of the small stage. Obsessing over siblings, kids, husband, friends, people in the news is a dead end and very draining. Fortunately, God gives us some way to express our unique and valuable vision. Find it! ❤

This is going to sound mean but as an INFJ I was targeted in an online group by someone who thought she was INFJ but wasn't. She ended up doing the usual. Messaging me all the time. Using me as her counselor. So when I hear community of INFJs I worry how to not get targeted again. I think a real INFJ would understand the need for space in a connection.

Yes, absolutely. As INFJ, we cannot hurt others without hurting ourselves (or the case you bring here, abuse). I guess for everything you do online, there is a huge risk of a backlash (reason why I barely comment on anything online up until now but this resonated with me). The point is to get to a place where you no longer give a fuck and are able to put strong healthy boundaries. Difficult as fuck but I really like this channel because she explains it so well.
