@@IEEteammateMATT1 Vitamin C and glucose molecules are extremely similar (competing for the same uptake within the body) and since the body cannot derive energy from Vitamin C it will always prioritize glucose. Liver is a much better source of Vitamin C than any fruit or vegetable.

I cannot thank you enough Dr. Berg, by far you have the best content on KZbin, I started watching your videos almost three months ago and started applying your advice about 50 days ago, I’ve lost 10.8 lb so far and I feel very good, healthy and energetic. I wish I can thank you in person one day, you’ve literally transformed our lives, my wife and I. Thank you sir for being the most awesome doctor I’ve had the privilege to follow 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 We live in Saudi Arabia by the way, your videos have become a routine in our lives. We tried many diets in the past, but your approach on intermittent fasting and having a balanced life is what really made us finally succeed in our goal, we feel that we finally understand how our bodies work, thank you for taking the time to read this, have a nice day sir.

I bought 12 tins of those Icelandic Cod livers from Amazon on the basis that they can't be too nasty and even if they were I could hold my nose and treat them as medicine. But I was so pleased when I tried a tin on some of your toasted Keto bread. They are lovely. Not fishy (not that there's anything wrong with fishy) and not strong in any way. I would say they have a very enjoyable. delicate taste and so does of course the oil that they come in which is great on the bread. I don'y think anyone could dislike them because there's simply nothing to dislike. When these eleven are gone, I will buy another 12 without a second thought. So thanks for introducing me to something new, apparantly very healthy and really very enjoyable. Every day is a school day.

Started fasting in 2018 pre my little boy being born and after 2019.. it definately became harder. I say harder, but life and its daily requirements meant I did not put myself first and keep control of my weight. I went from 76kg (not heavy I know) to 92kg.... as of yesterday I am down to 85kg :). This is done over 4 weeks only. I have only worked out 4 times in that time. 4 x 45 minute sessions. The age old saying, the body you want starts in the kitchen. For me its not about the body, its about the feeling I get when i feel healthy. Super chuffed I have restarted this process! Dr Berg, I shall put you forward for an MBE :). I just need to speak to the queen first!

I was on Keto in 2019 for 10 months and lost 50 lbs. Unfortunately I was unable to sustain it because it is a very hard diet to keep going with a young family. Meal prep took up a lot of the time also but there were definite benefits from Keto. I'd like to get back into it.

I started keto+intermittent diet 3 days ago. I don’t have bowel movement. Since my job, I cannot make it 12-6 window. Can I eat like 8-1 window? Since other people in the family are not believing keto and intermittent diet. It makes me very difficult to follow the time of eating. I have looked through all these positive comments and they encourage me to continue to try. I really to I can keep these healthy diet.

Thanks, I think I'm doing okay now after watching some videos. Not worried about a specific diet, just being healthy. 🙏 Breakfast: Yogurt + variety of nuts + oatmeal Lunch: Variety Beans + home eggs + fruit + salad Dinner: Veggies, Beans, peanut butter Extra: Once or Twice a week for dinner I'll have a small steak from a farmer friend. Drink: mostly water, 1 black coffee. 1 or 2 sugarless black teas a week. Nuts are pistachio, walnut, almond, and sometimes cashews. Not as boring as it sounds, and I feel way better (lighter and energetic).

Great info. I believe both plant food and animal foods are both important. Some cant eat plants and some cant eat meat. Enjoyed the breakdown so people of whatever way of eating can use what applies to them. Thanks Dr. Berg.
@theresam567
@theresam567 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, plant food was never my favorite. I'm a animal lover, would've loved to go vegan, but never could. Besides, plants feel too, so if I think about it I get torn about eating them too. I always thought I might be part American Indian because I always thanked the plants, animals, trees, for giving me their fruits or their lives. Though, I can't see the animal alive prior or with identifying parts. Like I can't eat cut up chicken after seeing my chickens outside, & could never kill my own animals. The thought of naming a family member, treating it like family, loving it, then killing it makes me sick. I don't know how ppl equate treating animals humanely, & as a family member, then killing it. Whatever, I can't.

Great video I follow this plan but I think avocado deserves a special mention as it is high in healthy fats and potassium. I also think lemon is important as a healthy fruit and there are other veggies that weren’t mentioned such as asparagus, olives, cucumber, and celery. Finally yogurt or kefir, butter, and cheese are good if from grass fed sources.

I haven't seen all of your videos but I do think that it's possible that you've missed talking about a very important food category. This category actually contains some superfoods. Spices. Anyone on a diet of any sort needs to max flavors. Cloves are a superfood. Holiday season is coming up when cloves can be used in abundance. I would like it if you'd do a video or two on SPICES and HOLIDAY COOKING. Thanks.

Dr. Berg, I like your list and I want to mention that with Potatoes if someone is preparing at home, they can peel and then soak potatoes for at least a couple hours to pull the starch out out of them. The same thing goes with flour to take care of the phylates you mentioned, and with beans, soak it first to get rid of the lectins. I do have a question for you what is your opinion on kombucha?

If you want a great organ meat, i would seek out Canned Cod liver in it's own oil. It has alot of vitamin A, Omega 3 and all the other benefits you get from liver. I dont like to eat it tho.

Agree! Also has good source of vitamin D3. It's hard for me to find actual cod liver so I have to resort to only cod liver oil 😣

I work from home so one time a day around noon I will look outside to see if the sun is out. If it is I take my shirt off and walk letting the sun hit my body for about 10 to 15 minutes then I go back inside. You want to expose as much skin to the sun as legally possible. lol I live in Florida so many people don't have the luxury to do this in the winter, but do your best. Youll find that a lot of days you can't do this because its raining, overcast, cloudy, etc. But guys the vitamin D you get from the sun is priceless. It's literally wealth just sitting there for free that will heal your body in so many ways.

Too true. I'm lucky enough to live in the Southwest - very dry, almost never cloudy. I'm still doing long morning walks in a tank top and capris and it's quite comfortable. Nothing feels better than a brisk breeze and warm sun on your shoulders.

Just lost 7 lbs from regular dieting and calorie cutting. Stayed string through one weekend and then cracked the next weekend. Gained 4 lbs back since. Weighed in at 219.4lbs, just weighed in on the morning of my 4th day fasting and doing one meal a day and im down to 213.2lbs. Not only that, my body is sleeping insanely better and i have had a crack in the middle of my lip that never healed for the last 3 years, it is nearly healed and my dry flaking skin is normal again. This is a life style and im addicted. Thank you Dr. Berg for proper insight on how to sustain and be healthy on this diet.

Hi Dr Berg. I stopped taking my synthetic prenatal and replaced it with organ meat capsules. I got pregnant after two years of trying and only being on them for three months. Not all credit goes to the organ meats but I believe they helped. Now that I’m pregnant I’ve been told to watch taking that supplement because I could be getting too much Vitamin A. What’s your opinion on this?

Hello Doctor. When you mentioned Vitamin C I noticed you mentioned a good source is from vegetables because of the high fibre content. You've mentioned certain fruits in other videos because of the high fibre content along with the need for citrus; Lemons, Oranges Avocadoes. What of Banana when they are green for a source of Potassium? I've downloaded your cheat sheets which are really handy as the place to start with a Keto Diet. Otherwise there are a lot of video's to go through and it can get confusing or seem contradicting. Just to add. I like drinking Cider vinegar or somthing sour like Lemons or an un-ripe orange as it curbs the urge for sweet things; biscuits cakes and so on. Thank you Doctor.
