And yes the chemistry with Alissa despite their infighting as some people love to focus on they made some top knotch kind of avant-garde stuff that they were on the cusp of getting too but never did. I myself have heard their newest album Orphans as well while their are a few alright tracks for different reasons it just pales in comparison and doesn't hit the way it use to with Alissa. And yeah that cover not that great I much prefer the original any day. What do you think of their new album Orphans?

Especially the lyrics which just seem like their there to fill in space rather than mean something to the song. And that alone makes the album somewhat forgettable in that regard. And of course they're not remembering because it's cool to hate her and shows many of them are followers with a lack of mind of their own. Trust me Alissa era blows Vicky's out the water because not one album since she's been there surpasses her stuff on any level. But have the audacity to say Orphans is their best album like Prisoners or Lullabies doesn't exist or something. It goes without saying Alissa's lyrics are miles, lightyears and even far to intellectual for the streamline audience Vicky has dragged into the house knowing hers are nothing to write home about at all. What's your favorite Alissa era album? Mine is Prisoners but I love them all honestly. Far as Five and Eye Of Providence which are Vicky's other two albums with the band. Five is streamline garbage and EOP while it had some decent songs in the first half slightly it just got boring by the end. Not too mention lyrically sort of ripping off her Alissa's writing style but not does as well despite their best efforts or even in their hatred of her.

Doug Williams I agree with you that Alissa is a good singer, but that's a relative matter. Angela Gossow was a great vocalist too, she could sing louder than Alissa, you should check out some some of her videos when she was in the band. Most people also confuse 'low dirty vocal' with 'growls. You noticed Alissa's low pitch 'melody' in the War Eternanl album songs? it's beautiful to metal heads. listen!, these type of vocal sounds is the main thing in the songs, not always how loud you growl matters.. Some metal heads like low vocal melody with lower growls. Alissa's unique vocal range made that super album the best album in their career,highest album on all metal/rock charts around the world, facts. I just feel more people need to give Alissa at least a brake and a cheer for her cool ass suucess and I'm glad I'm a part of her, she is amazing, nice, and a sweet metal head chick! Angela I love and she is one of the best too but I do believe Alissa has much more ranges in her vocal skills, and her clean vocals are outstanding, I don't believe Angela is louder, Angela shouts more!

Honestly since I heard it for the first time (I was around 11-12) I thought it was such a brutal and great song. With time I got to really understand and think about the lyrics and I only liked more. Today I'm 19 close to 20 and tbh I barely listen to metal anymore, but damn this song is so fucking great in so many ways, I still think it needs more recognition.
