For the longest time I thought Cleetus kept Cooper around due to being good friends (which would be fine and understandable) and Cooper just helped with misc things. As I look closer and actually pay attention, it seems Cooper is the solid unseen drivetrain hidden away that keeps Cleetus, the flashy, noisy, oooahhh attention grabbing out of hood turbo motor moving. The two make a great team, as I don't think either one could do what the other does. Together they bring us Freedom Power, and we love it.

79tazman the clearances on Ls motors are so tight High oil pressure would actually be a problem. The oil pump in ruby was modified by James anyways. He put spacers to make the pressure regulator spring stiffer. Stock should push about 35-40psi on a 5.3/4.8 (basically the same motor just a different stroke length) thats isn’t completely worn out. Modified like they did should’ve been close 65-70. It was to much for the stock bearings, and pretty much stock bottom end.

These iron black blocks run easily a 7 second with work. A fox body automatic ran a high seven with a 5.3l,they are changing to a 4.8 so they can run more boost,not to mention the c6 with a 5.3 auto that ran 7.40s

Not sure of the symptoms on the V1 but my 05' needed constant electrical work until the dealer eventually put an entire chassis harness in it after 4 trips back and about 50K miles on the car. It took forever since they only had one tech qualified to work on the V cars. This was about 4-5 years ago, but it did fix the problems with the dash, ignition and constant warning lights.

S M lol I had a V1 triple black in 2006 and never forget in utah , I tried to take it to work one day leaving my then '02 LPE c5 z06 in the garage which did surisongly well in snow lol , took the 4 door V instead of the Jeep build after a storm passed and it was sunny, roads were plowed (utah) and got 2 doors down on completely packed snow, to the stop sign,..stopped and literally could not get it moving again ! The packed snow was ice and the V was so heavy it could not get moving to even get back to the garage lolol so embarrassing ,..traction control was going nuts and not letting anything happen, turn it off and the torque would spin the tires on idle once the clutch was out! Lol neighbors pushed me back to the driveway and it wouldn't make it up the icy driveway lol sold it the next summer. Lol loved it tho, NO issues and was bad ass becaue they were still new a z06 powered Cadillac sedan lol fun car! Just NOT drive able period unless rods were 100% dry . Almost bought a 6 spd Unicorn V-Wagon like coopers after the next c6 build but opted for an LPEC6z that was $10k less although the V-wagon would have faired better In value looking back AND not had LS7 heads/valve guide issues lol.
