Its a good idea to put a shroud in front of all fans since a fan pressed up against the rad will have a dead zone in front of the hub and in the four corners so you are not passing air through 1/4 of the radiator adding about a inch of space for negative pressure zone will insure even flow through 100% of available fins increasing cooling capacity.

Awesome video! As someone who does a fair amount of hobbyist CNC work, I've also discovered that work holding is more an art form than anything. It feels like designing efficient jigs and work holding solutions is much more challenging than actually designing and making any given end part.

4: 53 you have enough meat on that pulley to take it out and put it on the mill to slim it down too. Also, since you have a CNC, if you can get your mitts on a horizontal axis for this machine, you could make your own pulley, and add a crown to it (there are crowned toothed pulleys out there, rare, but they do exist) to make sure the belt tracks, at which point the whole washer is useless.

Your air filter install made me think you might be interested in the Banks AirMouse ambient air density sensor to help you measure how restrictive the filter is and also correct for varying altitudes, ambient humidity, etc. when you do a hill climb ;-) I know you have plenty of engine sensors, but I didn't notice an environmental sensor outside of IAT. Anyway, random thought I had. Thanks for the videos, love the technology and level of description you are pursuing!

Watching these videos is like watching NASCAR. Bob Lazar did crazy stuff with odd engines 30 years ago without the internet, sponsorships, selling shirts, or KZbin crowd funding. But we watch this not because it's smart, but because we are just waiting for those 2 seconds that will inevitably occur when someone crashes and burns. I just have a feeling Isiah puts his life on the line and doesn't have health insurance and if Rob gets hurt he will make videos and profit off of it

If the inside of the machine is starting to smell bad it might be time to drain the old coolant, clean the coolant tank and fill with new coolant.
@thenarddawg12 жыл бұрын
Just watched your video about the wheel speed sensors. Maybe you have an idea for this already, but if you have a way to log steering angle, you can see the difference in wheel speed of the front tires and even the front vs rear tires and plot it vs steering angle. then you could have conditions for locking or not locking the awd system depending on if you're going relatively straight (< a certain angle) or around a tight corner (>a certain angle)

@BodenM2 жыл бұрын
One potential solution for the axle hitting the engine could be making an intermediate shaft setup, so the axle is only pivoting once it's past the engine. You could also have equal length half shafts with that, which would certainly reduce any chance of torque steer from occuring across the front axle at full noise.
@jameslastname91712 жыл бұрын
I feel that might increase the axle joint angles too much at full suspension travel.
@kuyper2 жыл бұрын
Damn! KZbin keep throwing away my comment; possibly because I put a Maps URL in; so just a description: @Rob Dahm, Gingerman is the ideal track - take a look at the satellite view just West of the Paddock; there's a Rotor/Dorito shaped Pond they appear to have put in, just for you :)
@VR6NAVYVW2 жыл бұрын
If your machine smells bad I would first ask what fluid you were using. Everyone...I mean anyone with experience uses synergy coolant on a machine like the Haas you have. Synergy is clear and better for recording cuts and has a much better smell than traditional coolants. Second, you need to stay on top of PH, coolant ration, and bacterial growth. Hopeful that helps you.
