Actually the transformation might not take nearly as long as you think. It might only take a few days or hours, although this would spike their appetite radically. Additionally, they would probably be unable to much other than eat through the transition. Alternatively, we could invoke an incredibly efficient but stable means of storing energy to enable a rapid change into the wolf state. The first type of reified werewolf you developed is actually quite similar to some cases of the "Beast Plague" in the video game Bloodborne.

Great videos!!! The mythology behind Werewolves and Lycans, is amazing. I love when movies and TV shows mingle Werewolves and Vampires. That's when shit gets funky.... LoL. I think Underworld tells the best creation tale of the Lycans and the vampires . William, the first Lycan and Marcus, the first Vampire. Scientifically and mythologicaly speaking , Underworld's depiction is by far, the best told and most logical ,explanation of both origins, theoretically speaking of course.

One note worth adding is that the image of a "werewolf" today, of an ape-like beast with a wolf-like head and massive claws, is purely an invention of modern fantasy/horror. The original myth had people transform into a literal *wolf*. Wolves would be shot with the belief that they were werewolves. I think this myth should make a return in modern fantasy, as while a wolf is far less impressive than the man-beast horrors modern fiction has created, it (ironically) makes the trope more fresh by going back to its roots.

From what I've come to understand, werewolves in recent times have become affected by silver, the moon, and the bite transforms the victims, all of these more or less comes from the influence of the movies, particularly the Wolfman movies. Interestingly enough wolves are not the only animals that a person can turn into, other animals include tigers, bears, leopards, lynx, and other animals as well.

A very interesting point. I am sure that something like this has been used in some stories, though I think that you will find Christians will disagree since only god is capable of creation in christian thinking. the devil is simply the adversary, who wanted power to rule, not create. I think the mythology of the lord of the rings explains that the angels of that world, rather than the creator god made the dwarves. Give it a bit of a google, I'm sure you might find it interesting.

I do not belong to a pack, therefore not held to pack law. I've watched hundreds of these types of videos and cannot hold my tongue any longer, so these are the true facts of my people. We have been around for centuries, held as myth and legend and in some cultures even worshipped. We are known by many names, lycanthrope, werewolf, skinwalker etc. Through the years we have been hunted to near extinction, and hide in plain sight among you. I want to dispell some popular beliefs about our kind. We do not transform into hairy monsters and eat people, transformation is not possible the way "hollywood" portrays it. We display the traits and characteristics, movements, and senses. We are born with thicker, fuller hair, hardened nails, and the ability to heal in much shorter time than a human does. Our hair and nails when cut, tends to grow back at a much faster rate than normal as well. Our teeth are normal, but more hardened and the jaw muscle is slightly larger for a more powerful bite. Our eyesight is like anyone else's, except for the instance of being enraged the eye color changes slighty. Our sense of smell and hearing are greatly altered and serve us in sensing danger or potential prey during hunting time. We posess average strength and speed and agility until the time of the moon phases, and during those nights those are increased to better aid in our hunts, although when attacked we do posess a certain defense advantage and can tap into our strength if needed to defend ourselves. I'm not going to tell you how to spot us, because that information could endanger us all. We are not immortal, we age, we die, and our lines are passed down generation by generation, poplular to myth, you cannot become a lycan by bite, you are born one. This is the truths I want to be known about my kind, we are simple, humble people who want to live our lives and not be victims to the lies and deceit that is being spewed, thank you for reading and I hope you come away with a better understanding.
@mattsvajda47556 жыл бұрын
Evan Edwards when my phase begins, my body is covered in a thick fine hair, my muscles enlarge slightly especially the thigh and calf, my ears slightly extend, my nails extend and become very thick and sharp, my eyesight becomes more heightened and I don't need my glasses, my teeth show a slight extension in the canine areas of the mouth and my nasal passages become more sensitive. We don't look like something from the Underworld movies. I prefer to be contained during my phase, my temper is such that I don't trust my actions during a shift, so I have a partner whom i've confided in and she has seen what I become and is aware of the risk and we have a contingency plan should I escape or attempt to harm her. She is 100% human. I bear no ill will against her or her kind, with exception of the hunters.
@mattsvajda47556 жыл бұрын
Evan Edwards I feel remorse for your shift causing you so much pain and discomfort. Do you feel the intense fatigue after your shift ? I sleep for 2 days after, so my body heals and rebuilds it's muscle fibers and tendons that were torn and stretched during shift. And I have an intense hunger when I wake and need high amounts of protien and carbs to regain my strength like a bodybuilder during their training. One of the many things to get used to and try to master is your metabolism, your body burns through so many calories so quickly just to keep your body going and before shift you have to triple your intake. If not you risk going feral and that gets you in trouble with possibly being outed or even worse.

@mimisaur50003 жыл бұрын
some people just like thinking abt how that would work irl
@kerrywhitesstrangeworld90597 жыл бұрын
Well, so far, in our science we have yet to know how anything can transform in such a fast way, doesn't mean things can't though. Or, if anything, it could be somewhat if the same way a male gets a boner and gets rid if it. A fool moon does indeed affect the way the mind is, in some way or form, some far worse than others; so with this werewolf disease, the full moon affects the mind and triggers the transformation. Their bones at first begin to deteriorate (or something like this) and become more so of bones in your ears, tip of your nose, or boner, which allows the actual transformation into the wolf like creature, and back into human form. The only thing that would actually be very hurtful are the bones deteriorating and growing back in regular, but I'm guessing a virus or disease would evolve to allow it's hosts not feel this so much with some type of paralysis or something that affects the pain receptors and/or nerves. The hair growth and thing like that would be caused by a trigger toward the hypertrichosis syndrome or disease. And so on and so forth.

@MoonChickenProductions6 жыл бұрын
You are correct to an extent. Do remember there is a limit as to how much the body can change in a small amount of time due to how long it takes the body to break down stored fat, and then diffuse the materials across the whole body. From what I have seen there seems to be an energy limit for 290kj/day that can be retrieved from adipose tissue. moreover things like bone matter can take a long time. Using breaks in a bone as an example, the greatest healing speed for a generic bone fracture is about 3 weeks, never mind restructuring the entire animal. Your idea of using spongy tissue, as one might find in erectile tissue, is very interesting. However erectile tissue uses blood to alter its shape and although I have no math to back it up, I imagine one would have heart problems after a while from sheer strain. Also, needless to say, damage to the tissue could be lethal. However it needn't use blood, perhaps some kind of tissue fluid or even just water might be useful... There are a lot of things to consider here but thak you for the idea, I will certainly try speak about it soon.
@kerrywhitesstrangeworld90596 жыл бұрын
Moon-Chicken Productions yeah what you say about the tissue, and the healing makes since and everything, but I was just saying it makes more since if the transformation was somewhat to due with those things than say, our bones completely breaking and regenerating as fast as a few minutes. Even a couple of hours is way too far stretched. But, than again, how would the bone regenerate in a fast matter from the deteriating like I mentioned before? That doesn't make much since either... Idk, maybe the werewolf like disease had some sort of organism or something like that that affects our immune system and healing process even faster than what our body systems would change to due to the slowing of age. Now I'm not entirely sure, but aren't they're insects or bacteria like creatures that can heal their selves almost instantaneously? Maybe this "disease" had this in its symptoms on its host?

The video is very interesting but I have watched Van Helsing and even though he hunts monsters he is one.

transformation is against the laws of thermodynamics, tell that to octopuses, they didn't get the memo
@MoonChickenProductions5 жыл бұрын
An octopus doesn't transform, per se. It contorts. It will always have its basic form as a limitation to what shapes it might take, even though those shapes may be numerous.

While there are Mithical Creatures that from human transform from to werebear or werecat or any other animal but the werewolf is the coolest because the wolf is the animal with most intresting mithology.The wolf is from centures seen as the scariest creature the Devil's creation.And when someone gets punished to become a berserk beast it is the wolf curse.But also wolves are God's helpers.In some Bible texts the Devil created the wolf but didn't have the power of God to give him life.So the wolf is the Devil's creation born by God and that's why they have so many awesome stories about them and that's why wolves are my favorite animals and werewolves my favorite mith beings

I think the legend must come from rabies. Man and wolf alike (not to mention many other animals) can contract rabies, a disease that turns them into drooling, biting monsters, by being bitten. Vampirism is probably also mythologically derived from rabies.

unable to get sleep tonight due to really itchy chicken pox. it's 5 am right now. I bet I'll go to bed now. my aunt works with those people who have issues during the full moon. she's described it to me a couple times but I don't know enough at the moment to be accurate.

You poor thing. Any kind of pox is hard going. Especially at an older age where the surface area vs volume of your body works against you

i know that this video is for entertainment but if a human caught rabies and did not go to the doctor or hospital ,they go crazy after a few months. their eyes can turn different , they are very aggressive ,strong ,allergic to sun light (kind of like a vampire) they hallucinate and if they are in between normal and crazy -they would probably think they where werewolves. just to try to make sense of it all. i seen one show where this English man looked like he had the devil himself inside his body and he howled and was on all fours -and it looked like he had a werewolf "spirit" inside of him! silver is a antibiotic -so maybe the silver would be considered as a cure -plus being a bullet and all????

Does anyone know how to become one easily???

The werewolf is the only monster that for 29/30 days is a normal human. According to legend a werewolf must make a kill before the first light of dawn or else it will remain a werewolf... Forever.

Well people have been wearing animal fur for ages, so this is not anything close to being correct. I believe dogman is really where it has come from.

What if they contract both viruses at the same time, so that they start having rapid hair growth AND begin to psychologically believe they are a wolf?
@MoonChickenProductions5 жыл бұрын
Well, thats the idea. Again that is pushing things a bit but you got the essential idea I was trying to get across

Nebbakanzor in the scriptures is a shape shifter, he never died, God allow him life until the last days. Ya'll might want to go and read about what Nebbakanzor turns into along with others that became victims of his and theirs. I don't care what you believe or don't believe, I believe what our Creator can do not your beliefs cause we are at the mercy of God. Nebbakanzor is cursed as a beast but still walks as a man until he shape shifts into a creature.
@Remy-rv4ys5 жыл бұрын
I don't think he was a shape shifter. He was stucken dumb for a few years if memory serves.
