Yeah I just associated the two moves in my mind. When editing I watch the video 100 times and I miss simple errors like that

It will never not be hilarious to me that they based him off H-Roa in Lumina to keep him from being a war crime and he's still ended up top tier. Good video, I would be down to see more Melty balance videos.

They made the right call. He’s strong but beatable. Honestly there are no real war criminals in lumina just some really really strong tools, the balance is very good and any character can win even neco! I’m going to turn this series into a monthly affair I have a lot of fun making these. I’ve got a poll up in my community tab if you want to vote for the next episode.

@@Drzuul Ye I saw and I did. I agree this game is pretty well balanced overall, as much as I like MBAACC it definitely has much higher highs and much lower lows character strength wise, though that is honestly inevitable given the technically 93-character roster. Like I would never really declare a "D-tier" for Lumina characters, the lowest the tiers really go is maybe like S to B at worst.
@Drzuul Жыл бұрын
There are some real messed up customers in mbacc. Like you said you can’t really blame them because they had 96 characters to balance which is something I don’t think any game developer period can do that. That being said the amount of bs in that game is a real turn off and it’s the reason I stopped playing. Every match becomes a knowledge check and the skill level is so high I can’t recommend people get into it when lumina, uni 2, strive, sf6 etc are much more beginner friendly.

You forgot to mention his horizontal airdaah. This is a huge part of why his offense is so scary
@Drzuul Жыл бұрын
I did actually have it in the script and I recorded the gameplay for it and now I’m just confused to where it went . Basically during the movement section I was going to make light of not only how far it goes but the fact that he can do an absurd amount of air normals off one getting easy triple overhead sequences.
@visiongap6042 Жыл бұрын
@Drzuul Oh, that sucks lol. Yeah and since he can do multiple air normals, it is easy for him to do empty throws or lows instead
@Drzuul Жыл бұрын
Yup, definitely something that shouldn’t be underestimated. I could see that getting nerfed but I don’t think it needs to be but I can also see them being hesitant to nerf some other tools

@@Drzuul So, here's an interesting way of looking at it. What Nasu actually meant to say was "Valdamjohan" with the "johan" part pronounced like "yo-han." This is actually the earliest translation people used for the character when fansubbing the original Shingetsutan Tsukihime anime, as it matches up with the katakana spelling and phonetic pronunciation of his surname. We soon learned that Nasu spelled it in English with a silent 'g' at the end during the early propagation of Type-Moon content in the west with Ryuusoul's translation of the Tsukihime doujin vn. Nasu frankly has a long history of giving completely bizarre nonsense English spellings to the European-esque names he uses for magi (and Dead Apostle Ancestor) characters.

That is pretty interesting. Nasu can’t keep getting away with abusing the English language

Dude finally got a body that didn't resist him... so what did he do? Just walk up the damn tier list and make himself home
