Thank you! My doctor failed to tell me two years ago that my cholesterol was high. I have been telling him the hold time that i am not eating much and my belly keeps growing and i have told him i feel like i have toxins.. being a woman is tough because they see you getting closer to 50 and it all hormonal to them Even though the hormone levels are NORMAL actually better than normal. I even have mild calcification in my aorta found out through a ctscan of the abdomen because i have unexplained bladder pain . In my opinion it is exactly what you say INFORMATION. Severe inflammation can also trigger autoimmune disorders i have also gotten really sensitive to so many things allergic to stuff i was never allergic even the a sun rash! @@acke26 This person should be on statins or make drastic lifestyle and dietary changes. With those levels you either have a genetic predisposition or your diet is causing the problem. High fiber diets do not cause raised cholesterol, low fiber, low carb diets do.
@acke26 Жыл бұрын
@@mosfet500 - thanks for your reply. Yes you're right, the LCHF-diet is lower in fiber than a well-balanced diet with carbs. That's mainly the reason for the increasing cholesterol. I ate tons of sallads during my test period with the LCHF-diet, but it can't be compared with the amount of fiber pasta, rice and potatoes contains. With a balance diet with carbs my cholesterol levels are significantly lower. Total: 5 - 5,5 mmol/ L = ap 200 mg/dl LDL: 3,5 mmol/ L = ap 130 mg/dl
@jdezenzio83723 жыл бұрын
If you are diabetic don't forget about dietary fiber. You subtract the amount of dietary fiber from the carb count and that is the true carb count. So, if the bread was 8 and the dietary fiber was 4, your carb count is actually ( 4 ). 8-4=4

I am here as a testimony to the dated information that we have have all grown up with and the fact that it is just incorrect. I grew up believing meat and eggs were the problem. As someone diagnosed with extremely high cholesterol (over 500!) at the age of 31, I went on a search for accurate information and so thankful to find you. I switched my diet from simple gmo based carbs to an organic keto lifestyle and couldn't be happier or healthier. I eat my own free range non-gmo eggs (from my own property) every day, grassfed/grass finished meats and dairy, extremely limited complex gluten free carbs and my cholesterol is in "normal" range! The inflammation in my body (and primary cause of my cholesterol issues) is gone, pre-diabetes is gone, brain has no more fog, I sleep better oh and I lost 88 lbs in 9 months. Education is SO important and so is what you are doing on this platform. Thank you for the time that you put into this platform.
@CarbageMan4 жыл бұрын
Fear of cholesterol is bullshit. You need cholesterol, and your body produces the vast majority of it, not your food. They don't even measure cholesterol when they claim they do. They measure lipoproteins. The real enemy is cardiovascular inflammation, caused by glycation. What you really want to be concerned about are your blood hemoglobin A1c, your carotid artery thickness, and your coronary artery calcium score. Respond to these with a low carb, healthy fat diet, moderate cardiovascular exercise (moving around) and resistance training (pick stuff up and move it around.) Avoid sugars (and sugar substitutes), grains and starches. Avoid "vegetable oils" that come from seeds (which is basically all of them except olive oil, avocado oil and coconut oil.) Oats are a grain. Your body turns them into sugar. Avoid them. In fact, skip breakfast altogether to bring your blood sugar down. Beans have starches. It's best to avoid bean products. Your body turns them into sugar. All yogurt-all dairy products-have sugar. Lactose, is milk sugar. It is composed of glucose and galactose, both sugar. They also have casein, which is inflammatory. The kind of casein from grain-fed cows is the worst, so try to avoid grain-fed cow's milk products. Saturated fat, by the way, is good for you. There is ZERO science behind saturated fat being bad for you. So getting fat from healthy animals is healthy. This means organic, grass-fed meats and oils are good for you. So glad other people are calling out the cholesterol bullshit and the "healthy grains" too!

@@ldi1451 I'm sorry, but you're just wrong. Your lipids are NOT cholesterol numbers, and there's no evidence that cholesterol CAUSES any problems. It's like saying firemen cause homes to burn down. Also, it's ignorant to say that eating foods low in cholesterol bring your cholesterol down. Your body makes most of the cholesterol in it, and it will make more if you eat less. What's DANGEROUS is peddling dietary information that will cause people to eat more of what actually IS a problem: carbs.

Dude excellent video, freaking excellent. Since losing 75 pounds I have learned a lotm since finding this channel I have learned much more. Switching to pasture raised eggs and I don't care how much more money it is. Number one like you said it's better for you but I can't live with what those swear shop eggs farmers do. Now with yogurt I have switched to plain Greek yogurt but I do the zero far because the deal at Costco is just too good. Again excellent video.

I'm in my late 40's and going through womanly changes 🙄😂 and my recent doctor appt said my cholesterol was a bit high 😏 😫 I have a family history of cholesterol! I eat oatmeal but I usually do overnight oats and I went from whole milk to oatmilk or Almond milk but I like mine a lil sweet and I was putting in a lil maple syrup but now I guess I'm going to have to leave that out 😂 and I guess use bananas strawberries or something? 😆 I do exercise 3 to 4 times per week. I'm doing my best to eat right but dang some of the goods stuff is just so dang expensive 🥴😔😳 thanks for this info it will help me out a lot!! 😊

@@barbarac-h5924 Do you take CoQ10 and turmeric? You are supposed to take them with statins. I have no joint pain. I also take fish oil and D3, all of which my cardiologist told me to take to avoid this side effect, and it works!
@barbarac-h59242 жыл бұрын
@@lessehead Yes, I started taking CQ10 and Tumeric - I will probably start with the statins at the end of the month. I have had 2 hip replacements - so I will not be able to deal with joint pain - so fingers crossed - it will help. Apparently, pravastatin has the least side effects. I could not take Crestor..

@@valenciataylor7872 I hear you - I have had some luck with lowering it with weight loss. As I have gotten older - that has been difficult - so I will try both - but if the joints start hurting - I will stop - I was in so much pain that I could barely move. Quality of life has to count!

Hey Bobby, what do you suggest to sweeten steel cut oatmeal meal outside of fruits?
@CarbageMan4 жыл бұрын
Better to avoid it altogether, because starches such as oats are sugars in your body. If you want a healthy sweetener, they are stevia, monk fruit extract and erythritol. Allulose shows promise. Avoid all others.
@kiriebalaka4 жыл бұрын
Could use monk fruit or natural sweeteners

@@antoniocognato5023It doesn't spike mine, and I haven't heard of anyone who have that issue. Of course, the best thing to do is test your own blood sugar response.. One other issue, however, could be spiking insulin. We really won't know about that until we get affordable home insulin testing.

FlavCity with Bobby Parrish Great video. 3 questions. I know regular non organic bread is high in sugars & inflammatory. But Ezekiel bread is organic. What makes Ezekial bread inflammatory like you said in the video? Are egg whites in organic pasteurized eggs still inflammatory and why? Last, what does organic dairy and organic meat really mean? Does it mean the chickens or cows are only fed organic grains/corn, the grass they graze on not chemically sprayed, and animals not given antibiotics?

What a fabulous video! My only health problem as a senior is high cholesterol so this was very informative. How about making and selling a pamphlet with recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner to help lower your bad cholesterol. Easy peasy for you if you just have Amazon produce it as people order. You can get an entire series of soft cover type books like this with different conditions like what to eat to help prevent heart disease. After you make millions on these I’ll tell you where to send my cut of the profits, ha ha.
