I like your condiment with the egg idea. Your lucky to be able to get fresh shiitakes mushrooms. I have never ever seen them anywhere. I actually ordered some shiitake mushroom plugs to grow my own. I like this recipe as I have tried this recipe before and it was super salty. Im gonna try yours.
@PMGK2 жыл бұрын
I actually don't add salt to my soup, at all because it's already present in the broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar and a few other bottled ingredients.

Another great one! For this one I've got almost everything. Just need to pick up the bamboo shoots and tofu. You've helped me solve one of the great mysteries of life. How the heck to get those nice egg ribbons instead of tiny egg bits. I'm definitely going to give that a try. Thanks!
@PMGK2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it helps to wait till you have everything in the pot, including the starch, if you like the egg ribbons thicker. Either way, be sure that your rolling that boil before you add them. ;-)
@wisereyes2 жыл бұрын
Me too on those egg ribbons! What a great idea to use the condiment bottle!

@@PMGK LoL I already had some of my ingredients ready and on standby 😋.However, I couldn't find the fresh mushrooms so I used the dried ones.. It would be a great idea if you published a cookbook. I would definitely purchase a copy because I've found a new appreciation for cooking at home. Thank you for sharing your recipes.

Thanks for the video! I'm aiming to duplicate the hot and sour soup from our favorite Chinese restaurant in Omaha. Noticing that you use beef broth instead of chicken broth was an epiphany for me. I have been using chicken broth, which is lighter in color of course, but the beef broth in your recipe is a darker color and likely the flavor nuance I have looking for. Nice detail and teaching style! Good job!

My brother, I found file, made the gumbo again added shrimp and crab, yep, you rock. Love sweet and sour but next is your braised pork belly, gotta have it. Thanks again my man for a happy palette and a full belly. Sleep well,cheers 👍
@PMGK2 жыл бұрын
File makes all the difference and it's one of the main ingredients from the original gumbo recipe. There's also suppose be Okra in this dish but I prefer my Okra fried. You're going to love the Pork belly. You just reminded me that I've got some in my freezer! lol
