Congrats on your purchase - great amp for sure. As you know I went the other way with my sv, I just thought it more versatile. I do have an attenuator (two notes torpedo) , but I no longer use it. I just think it feels and sounds better without and if u play that low in terms of volume that you can't get the sounds you need, there's always your pedals for low volume. No doubt you'll have years of enjoyment with your jubilee. 😎👍

I still want the SV20 as much as i did before 😅 Then again i still want the eastman goldtop p90 as much too, it will end eventually lol. Yeh im pretty gutted i didnt get to try the pedalboard through the SV20 to know for sure, but its all good im happy with the jubilee 🤘

great video really appreciate the way you get and nail particularly kind of tones! i’ve just bought one of this silver beast.. miracle for volume home and gigs! the presence knob is very sensitive and you strugle little bit to achieve one particular sound.. but this is the game! i couldn’t never be happy , now is married with 2x12 g1275 16 ohm white label from 80’s. could you show up knob regulation during frusciante set up? 🍻

I really wish the others had the same master volume. I know they say it was period correct stuff but they added an effects loop which isnt original so why not a master volume haha.

Yeh maybe. Plexi’s were modded with master volumes on the rear pannel in period. They shouldve done that and made them far more accessible. I suppose the argument would be most people buy an attenuator but ive never bought one haha

The clean sound on this amp to my ears is not very nice, You have to drown in it reverb or something in the effects loop. But then, ive never met anymore buy a Jubilee for its clean sounds haha. Ive recently picked up a fender amp to get my cleaner tones :)

I can say the desire for an SV20 hasnt gone with this. But... this is far more usable in my little room and at same time enough power for a gig if you wanted to take it out. The SV20 though im sure could be helped with pedals to combat its no master volume thing and i wish i couldve tried my board through one haha.

if I had an attenuator I would've gone SV20 too. I wouldn't be surprised if this time next year there is one sat next to the jubilee haha. Although you can't buy a Marshall for 'that' fender tone so im with you on the deluxe hahaha.

Joe Bonamassas settings on the jubilee sound great if you get a chance to try it that way. presence 5, bass 10, mids 7.5, treble 4.5, Master 10, volume 5 gain 5

I own both the Silver Jubilee and the SV20. The Jubilee is a design store version in black snakeskin, silver piping and black/grey cloth with black logo and I use it with a matching 2x12 JVM cab. I use the SV20H exclusively with a Two Notes Captor and different IR's(Blackback,Greenback,Creamback, EVL12 etc.). Both amps sound great! However the jubilee is much more versatile and I think you made a good choice. The only thing I have noticed is the jubilee can't seem to get along with my fuzz pedals whilst the SV20 takes them like a champ. For EVH esque tones both can do the job without a doubt.

​@@paolod.2239 It really depends on the fuzz, I've found that big muff style fuzzes with a tone control work better than fuzz face style circuits.

They are pricey in the states. I wanted a sv but I got a killer deal on a jubilee 2525h. After trying both I actually slightly prefer jubilee. The clean channel is great too especially with my Eastman sb54v/ltd. Using some gain on the clean channel gets tons of great rock tones. It’s a more versatile amp than the sv20 in my opinion. I don’t have a problem getting good tones with a strat either on the clean channel. But speakers do matter my heritage green backs and my older v30’s both sound fantastic.

You have an sb54v nice?! Niceee!! Yeh its more versatile 100% and the master volume is brilliant on all channels. I recently tried my head through a friends cab with those speakers and it made the cleans 100% better, speakers are a huge part of the sound and vibe thats for certain

@@Paul-D Yup I wanted a 54’ LP custom reissue forever but it was out my budget. The sb54v/ltd checked all the boxes so I was on a mission to find one. I eventually got lucky and found it at small shop a few hours away. Eastman makes fantastic guitars and the Duncan custom shop staple/p90 pickups sound incredible. Yeah it’s so important to match the right speaker to an amp. Just a simple speaker change can be complete game changer. It just makes an incredible difference because it drastically changes the tone. Yeah I love the versatility of jubilee it has plenty of tones on tap and the master volume makes life so much easier when you need to play at bedroom volumes.

Ive been looking for one of those exact eastmans for almost 2 years. Not 1 has come up for sale within a few hundred mile radius of me lol. Hopefully eastman will do another run haha!

@@Paul-D I did a lot of research prior to getting mine. They made a few LTD models and they are extremely limited. The sb54v/Ltd was limited to 40 per region. They made a batch for Asia, Europe, and North America. A few went to Australia, mine is stamped #4 of 40. In 2018 they had a 59v/Ltd spec’d like a es345 with a bigsby in a aged black finish with gold hardware that was limited to 60 per region. In 2019 there was a sb56v/Ltd in a Amber that was limited to 40 per region. The Ltd models aging verified and went from light to moderate. Mine has moderate aging and a spectacular figured aaa top hiding under the ebony finish that pops under bright light. I tried ordering one soon after they were announced at namm but they were already discontinued. I eventually found mine at a small shop. I’m sure you’ll come across one it just takes patience and a bit of luck. Keep up the good work!!

@@Paul-D I set and forget it. I was going to midi control it with my GIGRIG g3 or just use a remote switch to use the preset option. But I haven’t need to yet. Maybe I’m just too lazy lol. It’s nice having any boost/overdrive/distortion to hand though.
