A few days ago I made your previous Swedish meatballs. But sadly I don't have a taste for these meatballs spices. I thought I have had them in the past, but I guess they were more like brown gravy, onion flavored meatballs, that were soo good. If you have a recipe for brown gravy meatballs that would be great. Love your channel, you do a great job.

I would use the same recipe just don’t use nutmeg or allspice, I would use garlic powder, onion powder a little paprika. Just a thought.

We use 1 jar of heinz brown gravy and 1 packet of onion soup mix per 25-30 meatballs. It's so simple but so good.
@judykish1481 Жыл бұрын
Yes - that's because they are NOT real Swedish meatballs. We never used nutmeg. Onions should be fried first, then added. So many podcasts with unauthentic recipes.

Hunted all over for recipe for sauce, didn’t see any I liked ! I had froz meatballs……my bad! I browned them with chopped onions , finally gave up and used 3 cups of beef gravy, Bisto, then cream good 1/2 cup , steak sauce 1/4 cup , pinch garlic, tsp paprika , Worcestershire sauce good shake , let it simmer with meat balls served with mashed potatoes, It was different but tasted good real good! Next time I’ll try this with the nutmeg and allspice ! Maybe sour cream ?
