to me blue represents the kinda guy red wants to be seen as but isn't because red tries too hard. blue is not just "cool", he's what one could consider a "ladies' man", perhaps

TBH I have generally seen Blue as a just a version of Yellow with the similar character designs. An idea for giving Blue a personality is while on the surface Blue is calm, confident, and popular, alone Blue is sad, cold, or has an impostor syndrome thing.

Red = The bossy, cocky leader that gets humbled in hilarious ways Yellow = The dumb but sweet one that always has Red's back even though he's a jerk Green = The sassy, feminine fanservice that ironically hates being objectified Orange = The paranoid walking existential crisis that faces his fears anyway Brown = The smart, snarky and reserved one who wants to be known for her mind, not appearance Purple = The eccentric, quixotic, manic pixie that embraces her uniqueness despite being an oddball Blue = *crickets* idk, a diva? I think the reason why Blue fails as a character is because he lacks a dichotomy or duality the others have. Everyone else has a "they're this, but they are also this" trait. Whilst Blue is just a one note "I'm too cool for everyone" attitude that Red and Green do much better. Yeah, he's in desperate need of a personality upgrade.
