I'm a habs fan but seriously... look at how Mr Rod is in shape! He played in the 80's 90's and can still beat up most hockey players today!! What a tufff guy he was and still is!! A stud that's for sure! ( plus the awesome offense numbers... oufff)

Rod was one of my favorite Flyers. Guy is an excellent coach. It's amazing what he's done with those young Canes. Humble and down to earth guy. Class act. Hope he gets into the HoF soon.

Rod has been in pro hockey since the 80's and you can really tell he's a sage hockey mind. It's cool hearing him talk about playing with legends like Lindros or running into those juggernaut Red Wings teams of the 90's and 00's. No wonder the Canes players love him

To add to rods influence on his home town. This man gave us three cup runs, worldcup and olympic representation. He lifted the cup and brought it home. I was 5 years old when he made his rookie debut in the playoffs. 89-90 Upper deck quickly had his rookie card. Although he left as an early teen to attend notre dame, he came back to steve Marshall Ford dealership as soon as the blues were eliminated and signed cards at a meet and greet for our new hero. Everyone in campbell river of a certain age has a rod brind'amour rookie card signed, as well as the Kodak card he signed for you in case you didn't have his card. We need to recognize this man the same way port honors willie and stoner (Campbell river for highschool with the same people who have Roddy's card). The sign should read welcome to campbell river, home of Stanley cup champion rod brind'amour, with a statue at the arena of him lifting the cup, the greatest cup lift in history. This man's playing career is highly underrated. One of the greatest 2-way centres of all time. You influenced a generation with your selflessness Roddy, and you continue to do so. We continue to be enormously proud of how you represent us and your family.

Love the mention of the QUAD CITY STORM! We love our local team, and they're a great group of guys. Everyone that made the trip to Danbury was super disappointed, but glad the local kids still got to do the after game skate with some players. Such a great gesture to stick around for the kods and after game skate of the opposition team.

The Panthers arena is 20 minutes from downtown Ft.Lauderdale, 32 min from Miami, 28 min from Boca, and 10 min from anywhere in western Broward county, it comes right off the sawgrass expressway which directly connects to 3 others major interstates. it's a phenomenal spot for the arena. Matthew Tkachuk said one of his favorite things about going to Florida was living on the beach and getting to the arena in 20 min.

Whit is spot on with the Uber situation at the panthers arena. I traveled down to for Lauderdale work last month and saw a game. Picked the nearest Uber spot outside the arena and waited half an hour before the driver said he couldnt reach that spot. I ended up having to walk a mile away from the arena just to get to a spot where an Uber could reach me. Joke of a set up

Frontier Fios axed NHL Network from their service when the league dropped the Center Ice package for ESPN+. In the same year, Frontier stopped carrying NBCSN Chicago and they don't air Bally Sports, so the Blues games are also blacked out in my area. Allstar ideas to make it better: 1. Need a trophy that they give out every year and have the name of the winning conference 2. Back to either east/west, or captains. If captains do the draft 3. AHL did it this year, remove the glass along the half wall for the skills comp 4. Scrap the $1mil to the players and do it as a donation to a predetermined charity each team chooses. 5. Winning conference gets to decide 7 game layout for the Cup Final (still 4 home, 3 away, but could choose as 3h-2a-2h, 4h-3a, etc). Probably not realistic but is similar to the MLB home field without actually giving one team home ice. 6. Really think the fan vote is cool. John Scott was awesome and it's already such watered down hockey so who cares. 7. Breakaway challenge but use the targets from the accuracy challenge in the net still. Make it an actual breakaway challenge without the goalies feeling like they're being hung out to dry. 8. No PK on the ice or at the event 9. Hands challenge? Kind of like those keep away drills you did as a kid in the circles for a minute. 10. Have some entertaining ex-players on the call. Biz, Shane O'Brien, Scottie Upshall anyways im on a bunch of mushrooms right now thought maybe 1 or 2 might make sense. or they all may not

speaking of rule changes: i want to extend the distance between the goal and the backboard, making it harder for goalies to interrupt shoot-ins, right now it awards boring defensive islanders hockey - to play trap hockey, forcing dump ins, goalie stops it, and you have 60 min of nothingness. to me hockey should always award the team who wants to push the play, who wants to play offensively, who wants the puck.

Would also be less bounces off the end boards to the front of the net, would completely change how some players use the end boards to move the puck in the offensive zone and farther to come out of the corner off the cycle to the front of the net.
