The Egyptians under Urabi tried, it was a brave stand. Interestingly his legacy reached the shores of the US where the small town Arabi, Louisiana is apparently named after him in solidarity with his defiance of British imperialism, and since the town did not wish be part of New Orleans. They saw a kindred spirit with him and his followers.

I started collecting Victorian Campaign medals years ago. Some of my favorite are from the Egypt Campaign. I have around 17 from Tel el kebir to Abu klea. Fascinating history.

I buy one victorian campaign a year and to be honest when I get one it's a highlight of my year. I'm saving for a tel el kebir clasp awarded to a line regiment at the moment. I'd love to have a Abu klea medal but they are so rare and expensive.

@cinematicbattles559 hello, could I recommend that you try out The Great War Mod for Napoleon? You could perhaps do historical battles from WW1 such as Mons or The Marne (1914 era is the most realistic in that mod)

Well done! 600 yard charge!! Seems like a long ways. Whsts amazing is how the Calvary was in reserve and was only needed to mop up the enemy. This was the vintage British Dynasty era for sure! And France retreated. The modern era had begun in earnest. Lol

The ships shown are from the wrong era, there from the early 1800’s. Also British troops wouldn’t be wearing red coats , they would be wearing there desert or khaki coats.
