@@orangepiratebear Pat is still 21...he's like 150 days older than the kid we drafted THIS year and is a serviceable NBA player already. This is a 21 year old kid who's one of the better wing defenders in the league on top of shooting 41% from 3 while playing every single game this year. He's the highest upside guy on the team by miles. We knew he was a project when we drafted him. If he starts finishing at the rim, he's going to be one of the better two-way guys in the league. Whether he gets there is up for debate, but acting like a 21 year old is at his peak already also isn't quite fair.

I was super impressed with the Bulls in the 2nd half. Williams and Caruso defense really started and fueled this comeback. It felt like they where everywhere on the court, guarding everybody .PW got so much potential in him to be one of the best 2 way players in the league, he just needs to work on his offensive game. Also Lavine was phenomenal. As for the Raptors 18/36 from the free throw line in a game like that is terrible...

So basically the 7 and 8 have to lose twice to miss the playoffs and the 9 and 10 have to win twice to make the playoffs. So in this case it was (7) Lakers (8) TWolves (9) Pelicans (10) Thunder. So Lakers played TWolves and Pelicans played Thunder. Lakers won so they get the 7th seed, and TWolves go on to play the Thunder who beat the Pelicans. That was probably way more detail than you cared for. Lmao

As a pelicans fan this one hurt the most ngl, been a tough year with all the injuries. When we started the year off fantastic and held first seed for a week, I’ve never felt more proud to be a fan and was excited for the team. Post all star break when BI came back healthy, he played the best basketball of his career, as one of the best playmaking wings in the west. Also Trey Murphy and Herb Jones starting to further develop their game, showing signs of potential stardom. We had some of the highest of highs and lowest of lows, and in retrospect it was a disappointing season because we never got to see our true potential. Wishing Zion and CJ get healthy this offseason, and for the coaches to seriously reflect on our season’s end. Hopefully next season we figure things out and our guys are able to be available.

Before that game, I didn't think the Bulls would be signing a 10-year old to a 10-day contract, but here we are lmao. Pwill has had some crazy ups and downs, but his defense this year has genuinely been super impressive. If the kid finds a way to put it together on offense, he'll be one of the better two way players in the league. The middy is there, the 3 is there, but they both need to be a little more consistent. He's got intent to absolutely murder people on some of these dunks and if the kid starts finishing them, he's going to be a weapon. 5% better handle, and a floater/finishing through contact is what is separating the kid from being really good. The rebounding ain't there either, but I can't tell if it's a Pat problem or a "this guy basically plays next to an elite rebounding center the entire time he's on the floor" problem. We don't go after oboards for shit as a team so on that end it's probably more of a Billy thing imo. And on Giddey: There ain't many guys who can actually control a game the way Giddey does at his age. The consistency definitely isn't there yet, but when Giddey is on, he's actually ridiculous. Gets to the hoop, passes at a crazy level for a 20-year old. If you're redoing that draft, I absolutely think Giddey is going at 3 or 4. One of the more fun players to watch in the entire league in my eyes.
