Always happy to put in the moderator night shift, I'm basically nocturnal anyway! Hats off to you guys and gals down at HQ and all of the teams though, despite the pizza poisoning this was one of the best yet. Steve was a natural at presenting, and I can't believe he stayed awake for all of it! Amazing work from everyone, this money will make a genuine difference.

Hats off to everyone involved, who all did an amazing job to help raise an incredible amount of money for such a worthy cause. I was only able to tune in for the last few hours, but my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. She hopes her pocket money helps!

Watching from Australia it was obvious at 4-5am you were all taking a pounding with sickness and tiredness, but Ian and Steve did a sterling job. You should revell in the achievement of the money that was raised and just think about little Sophie, if she were looking on she would be so proud of you all no matter what! Well done all!

Well done everyone - I really felt for you around 7am Sunday when the sickness really kicked in, and yes you were pacing wondering how on earth you could carry on. Sick Ian holding the fort with (Steve?). A great team effort in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Hopefully this won’t put you off doing it again - if it wasn’t for the lurgy, I’m sure it would have been a much more enjoyable experience for you.

Stayed with you for about 20 hours, bloody amazing job, and the handbrake turns were 100% spot on, put wrc drivers and cars to shame, unfortunately I'm not in a position to be able to donate.... unless I sue hubnut for the trauma of having to witness that crab dancing 🤔 might have a case there 😂 Well done to everyone involved, you should be forever proud of yourself for helping such a fantastic charity, genuinely brings me to tears every time I hear of everything this charity does, the world needs more people like you guys. Full respect.

Next year possibly plan segments, rope in other presenters for different bits to give you a break and definitely a different takeaway shop.

I had a fever on Friday and still had the effects of that with the bad cough and much increased pain levels on Saturday - though even without that I'd have struggled to stay awake. Massive admiration for what you achieved and how much you and everyone else put in. A great idea that could have gone very wrong - amazing it only had a few flaws. Presenting live events is really hard (just watch commentary on significant events like the Queen's death to see accomplished presenters struggling), so you all did really well just keeping going. Taskmaster live would not work as well - it is great to watch due to the editing (I mean the humour helps, but it wouldn't work with just that). Hope you start to feel better soon, and appreciate both the great thing you tried and the massive positive influence you've had on Sophie's Legacy - you deserve great credit, even if probably won't let yourself accept it (far too modest) ... I mean you inspired me to brave the moths escaping my wallet - that's really hard ;-) Kudos and chapeau to you and the whole team

You are all legends. Donation sent. I didn't manage the full 24h, at my age I need at least some beauty sleep! You're already nearly up to £20k. I've got suggestions for next time, the main one being take a leaf out of the airline pilots' book and DON'T ALL EAT THE SAME FOOD. I reckon with a smaller list of challenges, a bigger admin team in the background so you don't need to worry about it (I volunteer as tribute, I'm an information manager, wrangling data in Excel is my jam) and maybe an extra presenter it would be a lot less stressful. Maybe see if you can hook up with someone with the software to make the comms / OB easier? You could probably guilt trip someone as it's for charity! Honestly though, apart from watching you all suffer :( it was great, it worked really well, so much fun seeing where the cars were off to. See you next year?
@UPnDOWNАй бұрын
Haha! Yes, someone else mentioned doing the airline pilot diet!

Really close to 20k now, are all the teams home now? Still remember the joy when scrof turned up with the mcmuffins, last year was a bit too easy and everything just kinda worked, but having guests who had never done that kind of thing made it interesting, jon and seppo being real highlights. But I suppose you can't just do the same thing every year and this was interesting too
