Oh, if you guys continue the serial killer series, my uncle worked with gary ridgeway for 15 years. As in, they shared an 8' x 8' space. He said for years after he would never have suspected him of being heinous. These people are among us, often overlooked as normal.

The story of Ted Bundy is one of the most fascinating True Crime stories to me, especially since my grandmother went on a date with him around the time that he was actively killing. She used to tell my father about how lucky she felt to be alive every day after she found out about that.

2 things I think would be pretty dope and yall would surely put together to be top notch would first be a multi episode series of not just the rock star group of serial killers but also the lesser discussed one's, many of which are staggeringly evil and in many ways are actually far worse than the aforementioned A-team. And secondly, or potentially an offshoot of that hypothetical series would be the Seattle/Oregon/Northwests inexplicable grouping of serial killers and the odd way that that particular area seems to birth serial killers unlike anywhere else in the world. Just one fans idea. And being presented by yall would be a no doubt homerun. Regardless, keep it going fellas. Chilluminati is the hands down best accidental finds for me in quite a while

idk, Bundy may not be my type; But I can definitely see many people finding him attractive, like especially for the time period, he looks about like a male celebrity I would see in the 60s and 70s (imo most white male (and female) celebrities considered "attractive" look average and basic as hell lol), plus the fact that he's supposed to be "charming" that definitely boosts an average looking person up a few points!

I enjoy this podcast and have been binging through these episodes, but a point of criticism I'd raise is your discussions around mental illness. People with mental illnesses, including sociopathy and narcissistic personality disorder, are much more likely to be the victims of violent crime than the perpetrators. And a big reason for this is stigma surrounding mental illness, which was contributed to in this episode. I forget who said it, but someone brought up how the capacity is there for sociopathy to commit these violent crimes, but this is an unfair way to paint sociopathy. The capacity is there for all of us to commit these violent crimes. Taking a look at fascist regimes for example, it's not mental illness that compels them to commit violence, but rather mentally ill people are actively persecuted under them. Human beings all have the seeds for violence, and nurturing those seeds is what allows it to grow within people until the violence blooms. Stigma is plant food for these seeds within us. It feeds into a sense of fear and othering. If even one person takes away from this episode that "sociopaths and people with narcissistic personality disorder are inherently dangerous" it becomes food towards ideas that are blooming into material harm and violence against people.
