Thank you for this Pandesal Tutorial. I think this is the summary of your tutorial. I hope I'm correct. Thank You so much! Ingredients: • 1 cup warm milk (250ml) • ¼ cup butter (55g) • 1 egg • 2 tsp instant yeast (6g) • 3¼ cup all-purpose flour (405g) • ¼ cup sugar (50g) • 1 tsp salt (5g) • 2 tablespoons of oil for the bowl • ½ cup breadcrumbs Instructions: 1. Prepare all the ingredients needed. 2. In a bowl, mix the 1 cup warm milk, ¼ cup butter (55g), 1 egg, and 2 tsp instant yeast. Just mix a bit because we are using instant yeast, so we don’t need to bloom it. 3. Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined. 4. Let it rest for 20 minutes, uncovered. 5. After 20 minutes, sprinkle some flour and transfer to a clean counter. 6. Sprinkle some flour on the counter and knead until the dough is smooth, around 7 minutes. 7. Form into a ball and place in an oiled bowl. 8. Cover for an hour or until doubled in size, then remove the gas. 9. Divide into 18 pieces and form into a ball, pinch the seams to seal. Roll under your palm until it smoothens. 10. Dredge into the breadcrumbs. 11. Place in a sheet pan next to each other. 12. Cover and let it rest in a warm place until doubled in size. 13. Bake in a preheated oven for 18-20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

I used to live close to a Philippine Bakery and saw a line out the door and down the block every Sunday morning. So, I waited until it died down and went in with a friend so I'd know what to ask for. I followed your instructions, the pandesal is very soft and fluffy, pero nakulangan ako sa lasa. Medyo bland. I want my pandesal a little bit sweet. Yung tipong nag aagaw yung tamis at alat niya. So I tried to adjust the measurements of the sugar and salt. I put 1/2 cup of sugar, instead of 1/4 cup I put 1 1/2 tsp of salt, instead of 1 tsp. Then it came out perfectly just like the pandesal we bought at the bakeries in the Philippines. 👌🏻 thank you for this video

Tried this for our morning meal. Not bfast kasi patulog pa lang kami ng 6am 😅 Ang sarap! Perfect samin kasi mahilig kami magpalaman so yung plain na lasa is so good. Niluto ko ito the other day..Ang sarap. And since Wala AKong baking oven, I've used my air fryer since it's indicated nman na pwede magluto Ng cupcakes SA airfryer so might as well experiment pandesal as well. Hehe..and luckily Yung pandesal grow in size and successful Ang pagkaluto..Ang sarap! Tip: PAG air fryer Ang gamit, u set the temp to 140°C, cooking time 8mins. Sinubukan ko 180°C sunog Ang kalabasan haha. Well iba nman Kč talaga Ang bake PAG baking oven Ang gamit.

Thank you! I baked it this morning and turned out so yummy and soft. Btw I run out of butter i put 25 ml only at the mixture and substituted and mixed 30ml of sunflower oil instead. Yet it is so yummy and very soft! The aroma of the freshly baked bread is really good and fills the kitchen! Mmmm 😋

A friend of mine use this trick: after letting the dough rise, form the dough into a ball. She slices it evenly into wedges, which minimizes the need to weigh each one, and more likely getting a uniformly-sized smaller dough ball.

Hello, we've made this several times with adjustments. We noticed in the video after the mix, the dough is very workable without sticking too badly. We weight the ingredients per the recipe but wind up with really soft non workable dough. Obviously adding more flour fixes that. At the end of the day with the adjustments to liquid and flour and almost double the suggested knead time. So far it turned out ok and our family loves it. What might be the cause? Thanks

Hello. I am glad to hear that your family loved it. I tried it once, and luckily it turned out the way I wanted it to be. I have been baking bread, practising, I mean. Because I am trying to avoid buying due to the pandemic. If I can just make it, the would be better for me and my family. Anyway, I used to have weighing scale when I am baking, but it is always a fail. So I resort to measuring cups. And so far, it is giving me good results.

Hi, the problem you're sharing I have faced it before. I think it's because of the amount of gluten in the flour. I mean it can be a reason.

I made this today! My first time to bake pandesal so I expected it to be palpak 😅 but no! It came out perfectly, thanks to this recipe! I would just adjust the taste to add more salt and sugar but that's only my preference. Otherwise, this is definitely a foolproof recipe even for beginners! Salamat po ❤

@@SavorEasy I used this recipe and the first everything went fine except I was looking for a milkier taste so I used evaporated milk instead of 2% milk on my 2nd try but the dough seemed so dry I tried adding water but the dough ended up flat it did not rise. Should I use more milk if I use evap? Or what can you suggest so it tastes creamier/milkier ?

I made this again and came out perfect. Three things I changed. I used EVOO instead of butter; only used 1 Tbsp of sugar and I used Progresso Italian seasoned breadcrumbs for dredging. Delicious😋😋. Thanks again for you recipe😘
