Slight clarification: It is possible for some people to receive all 7 sacraments. E.g a deacon, or some married eastern rite priests and nuns (who were married) etc. Also there are even rarer edge cases where a priest leaves the priesthood and gets married. Interesting fact; though he is no longer a priest, in life-death situation he can hear confessions and offer anointing of the sick.

Glad that you have the courage to follow CHRIST. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth* and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. There is only one way and it's JESUS. As a ongoing Catholic you should learn the 4 most imlortant prayers the Our Father Hail Mary Glory be and the Apostolic Catholic Creed If you follow CHRIST you have all and lack nothing. Actually Islam and Catholic faith can't go along and it's not the same GOD. Sorry to put it that bluntly but it's the truth. We believe in ONE GOD. The Father the Son JESUS CHRIST and GOD the Holy Ghost - ONE GOD, 3 persons. That alone contradicts Islam but it's how GOD revieled HIM to the human race. What we share with Muslims is only that we believe that there is a Creator. But a creator without a Saviour is lost. Please consider joining the RCIA your nearby Catholic Church. The RCIA, which stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is a process through which non-baptized men and women enter the Catholic Church. Please be brave and dont let humans, cultural Backgrounds, family be a hurdle because it might get tough.along the way. CHRIST is kind and HIS kingdom is everlasting. Since you have a picture of Most Holy Mother Mary in your profile consider learning to pray the Holy Rosary. May GOD guide your steps and Holy Mother Mary and Holy Joseph pray for you.

Muslims believe in one god, but Allah is not the same as God because God is Trinity. Muslims believe that Jesus was just a prophet, that God neither begets nor is begotten. Thus, we do worship different gods. You should start to pray the Catholic way by beginning your prayers with the Sign of the Cross, then learn basic prayers like the Our Father, Hail Mary, and read the Bible, especially the gospels!

At 6:50 regarding Purgatory, I find it helpful to speak of Purgatory as the vestibule to Heaven. Just as a vestibule is used to remove dirty boots and wet overcoats before entering a house, purgatory is where we are are purified from our imperfection before we enter God's perfectly pristine Presence. St. Paul compares it to purification by fire: "By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved-even though only as one escaping through the flames." (1 Cor 3 : 10-15).

@paularnold3745

At 5:50 you said that one cannot have both Matrimony and Holy Orders, which is normally true in the Roman/Latin branch of the Catholic Church regarding priesthood, but in the Eastern branches a married man can receive Holy Orders. In the west (Roman/Latin Church) a married man can receive the Holy Orders, but only to the level of the deaconate. Also, a man who is widowed can become a priest. Also exceptions are made for married priests from certain other denominations that convert to Catholicism (Anglican/Episcopalian and Eastern Orthodox priests for example). In the case of Anglicans or Episcopalians a conditional ordination may be done if there is any question regarding the apostolicity of the bishop who originally ordained them.

There’s many different Catholic Bible translations, it really just depends on your preference. The NRSV-CE contains the deuterocanonical books, and the NAB Catholic Bible translation is used in Mass, there’s also a Catholic version of the ESV translation which is generally easier to read in my opinion.

At 1:22 You stated one of the deadly sins as jealousy when I think you meant to say envy. Many people think that jealousy and envy are synonymous, but they are not. Envy is a disordered desire for what someone else has (possessions or attributes) whereas jealousy is an inordinate protectiveness of ones possessions, position or relationships. For example, a jealous man is always suspicious that his neighbor is eyeing his wife and may even think his wife likes it. While an envious man is the one who eyes his neighbor's wife thinking "that ugly jerk does not deserve to have such a beautiful wife". I personally think that jealously should be added to the list and make it eight capitol vices: pride, greed, wrath (hatred), envy, lust, gluttony, sloth, and jealousy. But then we would need to make there be eight capitol virtues since there needs to be the opposite virtue against each vice. So, the traditional seven virtues versus vices are: 1) humility vs pride, 2) generosity vs greed, 3) chastity vs lust, 4) patience vs wrath, 5) temperance vs gluttony, 6) charity vs envy, 7) diligence vs sloth; and the added one would be 8) trustfulness vs jealousy. Peace of Christ be with you.
@lisbethkelly4480
@lisbethkelly4480 8 ай бұрын
👆 except, I don't think jealousy should be on any sin list, scripture tells us that God is a jealous God. Jealousy is the initial feeling, envy would be the evil end. Another example is anxiety/worry. Or anger/wrath.

Do not reject church dogmas. Accept them as true and try to learn why they are dogmas. That is the beginning of the process to accept them Ive found. The Bible talks about being charitable to what someone says, to give them consideration that they have best intentions. Give that to the church and remove bias regarding a belief from your thoughts. Then you can research the facts and give them a fair evaluation. If you are wanting to see error your mind will get you to think you have found an error. That child is naturally humble. That is the image Jesus wants to be. These dogmas are not from man, they are from God, through the breathing of the holy spirit into the apostles and succession passed to this day. Be humble. Be the child that accepts teaching as Jesus instructed. Yes there is an element of a child’s gullibility. That child has no bias, no preconceived feelings, that child is born again (baptized, “water and spirit”). Be unbiased, humble and submit in unity to the church’s teachings. That is what it is to be a true Christian. A Christian isn’t full of pride, doesn’t reject the Trinity, and isn’t divisive. We are all one family.

At 25:55, Protestants often forget that Jesus condemns not repetition but VAIN repetition in the blabbering style of the pagans. Not all repetition is VAIN. The pagans Jesus is criticizing were praying vainly because they were repeating prayers to non-existent pagan gods (Mat 6 : 7) as opposed to Jewish and Christian prayers that are to the one true God who loves us and actually likes us to pester Him as Jesus tells us in (Luke 11 : 3-15, 18 : 1-7). In Mat 6 : 9-13 Jesus even gives us the Lords prayer which is supposed to be recited at least daily "give us this day our daily bread". St. Paul repeated the same request to God multiple times (2 Cor 12 : 8-9) and Jesus asked three times that if possible, "let this cup pass from me", repeating the same words each time. (Mat 26 : 36-46). In revelation 4:8 we see that the angels repeat unceasingly “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”. Look also at some of the Psalms where some stanzas are repeated multiple times.

Do you believe that Francis (Bergoglio) is pope (and therefore infallible in his judgments on faith and morals)? Not only has he uttered hideous heresies in texts that come under the ordinary magisterium (normally infallible), but he has also taken part in public acts of apostasy, forbidden by the Church since time immemorial. It's not possible for Francis and his predecessors since John XXIII to be popes because they teach heresy (which, even before canonical condemnation, puts them outside the Mystical Body of Christ) : "Now, the manifest heretic is not a Christian, as Saint Cyprian clearly teaches (book 4, epistle 2), Saint Athanasius (sermon 2 against the Arians), Saint Augustine (book of the grace of Christ, chapter 20), Saint Jerome (against Lucifer, and others). The manifest heretic cannot therefore be a pope. [...] A heretical pope therefore ceases to be pope without any further intervention. Moreover, the holy fathers unanimously teach that heretics are not only outside the Church, but are deprived, by that very fact, of all ecclesiastical jurisdiction and dignity." (Saint Robert Bellarmin, De Romano Pontifice) Here's what the Church infallibly teaches about the Pope's infallibility: "The Church, supported on Peter, no matter how violent, no matter how skilful her visible and invisible enemies, can never succumb or fail in anything. "The Church being the edifice of Christ, who wisely built "his house upon the rock" cannot be subjected to the gates of hell; these may prevail against anyone outside the rock, outside the Church, but they are powerless against her. If God entrusted His Church to Peter, it was so that this invisible support would always preserve it in all its integrity". (Satis Cognitum, Leo XIII) "It is for this reason that, by the virtue of His prayers, Jesus Christ Our Lord obtained for Peter that, in the exercise of his power, his faith should never fail." (Satis Cognitum, Leo XIII) "Hasn't God established a living authority to teach and uphold the true and legitimate sense of His heavenly revelation, and to bring to a close by infallible judgment all controversies in matters of faith and morals, so that the faithful do not turn to every wind of doctrine, led into the snares of error by the perversity of men? Now, this living and infallible authority exists only in this Church which Christ Our Lord has built on Peter, head, prince and shepherd of the whole Church, and to whose faith he has promised never to fail". (Qui Pluribus, Pius IX) "It is important, in fact, that he whose faith cannot fail [the Pope] should heal the wounds done to the faith." (Ad Apostolicae Sedis, Pius IX) "For the sake of faith and the rule of morals, God has made the Church part of His divine Magisterium and has granted her the divine privilege of not knowing error. This is why she is the great and sure teacher of men, and has an inviolable right to freedom of teaching. (Libertas Praestantissimum, Leo XIII) "To Peter the Prince of the Apostles, the divine Founder of the Church attributed the gifts of inerrancy in matters of faith and union with God." (Principi Apostorum Petro, Benedict XV) And a few quotes from saints: Saint Alphonsus de Liguori (The Supreme Pontificate): "Those who introduce plague and ruin into the Church, who deny that the Roman Pontiff is the successor of Peter as regards authority in matters of faith and doctrine, or who affirm that the supreme Pastor of the Church, whoever he may be, can err in his judgments on matters of faith." Saint Robert Bellarmine (De Romano Pontifice, chapter 3): "The Supreme Pontiff cannot err in any way when he teaches the Church in matters of faith." Saint John Bosco (The General Councils and the Catholic Church): "It is therefore impossible for the Pope in matters of Faith to teach error, for it is impossible for Jesus Christ to lie, or to be unable to keep His promises." Let's be consistent in the Holy Catholic Faith that the Good Lord passed on to us through His only Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and which has been faithfully preserved by all the legitimate successors of Saint Peter. To say that John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis are popes would be a great offense to Our Lord and His most Pure and Immaculate Church, or else it would be to say that the Church has failed, which is a terrible blasphemy. If Francis (Bergoglio) is Pope, then we must obey him (under pain of mortal sin) not only in matters concerning faith and morals, but also in those concerning the discipline and government of the Church spread throughout the world: "Pastors of every rank and every rite and the faithful, each separately or all together, are bound by the duty of hierarchical subordination and true obedience, not only in matters of faith and morals, but also in those which concern the discipline and government of the Church spread throughout the world. Thus, by maintaining the unity of communion and profession of faith with the Roman Pontiff, the Church is one flock under one shepherd. Such is the doctrine of Catholic truth, from which no one can depart without danger to his faith and salvation." (Pastor Aeternus, Pius IX) If Francis is not Pope (like his predecessors since John XXIII), then it is perfectly logical and pleasing to God to refute his errors, to recognize the invalidity of the false sacraments instituted after Vatican II (apart from baptism and marriage), and to attend "non una cum" Masses ("not in communion" with Francis) because, to introduce the name of a notorious heretic into the Canon of the Mass is a sacrilege and a lie. Only "non una cum" Masses are pleasing to God, for they are the only ones that do not soil the Immaculate Lamb, the Bread of Angels, by adulterous communion with individuals who, concretely, do not have the Holy Catholic Faith. "We add that if it should ever happen that a Bishop, even one with the function of Archbishop, Patriarch or Primate ; that a Cardinal of the Roman Church, even a Legate, or even a Supreme Pontiff, before their promotion or elevation to the Cardinalate or Sovereign Pontificate, has deviated from the Catholic faith or fallen into some heresy, the promotion or elevation - even if the latter has taken place with the agreement and unanimous assent of all the Cardinals - is null, void and of no value" (Cum ex apostolatus officio, Paul IV).

I don't need a layman's opinion when I have at my disposal the infallible Magisterium of the Church and the Doctors of the Church. If I follow your logic, some lay people (including you) have understood the Pope's infallibility better than the Church itself? YOU are right and the Holy Spirit is wrong? YOU are right and Saint Alphonsus, Saint Robert Bellarmine, Saint John Bosco, etc. are wrong? It's all very curious... "Indeed, the Church's magisterium - which, according to the divine plan, was established here on earth so that revealed truths might remain perpetually intact and be transmitted easily and surely to the knowledge of men - is exercised every day by the Roman Pontiff and by the bishops in communion with him; but moreover, whenever it is necessary to resist more effectively the errors and attacks of heretics, or to impress on the minds of the faithful truths explained with greater clarity and precision, this magisterium entails the duty of proceeding opportunely to definitions in solemn forms and terms. " (Mortalium Animos, Pius XI) = is the Church wrong when she says that the Magisterium is exercised EVERY DAY ? "Nor must it be thought that what is expounded in Encyclical Letters does not of itself demand consent, since in writing such Letters the Popes do not exercise the supreme power of their Teaching Authority. For these matters are taught with the ordinary teaching authority, of which it is true to say: "He who heareth you, heareth me"" (Humani Generis, Pius XII) = is the Church wrong when She teaches that when we read an encyclical it is our Lord that we are listening to? "Now, all that is contained in the Holy Scriptures and in tradition, and all that is proposed by the Church as divinely revealed truth, either by solemn judgment or by her ordinary and universal magisterium, is to be believed with divine and catholic faith." (Dei Filius, Vatican I) = do you think that the Church could tell us to believe ALL that is proposed in the ordinary magisterium if it was full of error? "To Peter the Prince of the Apostles, the divine Founder of the Church attributed the gifts of inerrancy in matters of faith and union with God." (Principi Apostorum Petro, Benedict XV) = is the Church wrong when she teaches that? "For the sake of faith and the rule of morals, God has made the Church part of His divine Magisterium and has granted her the divine privilege of not knowing error. This is why she is the great and sure teacher of men, and has an inviolable right to freedom of teaching. (Libertas Praestantissimum, Leo XIII) = is the Church wrong when she teaches that? "It is for this reason that, by the virtue of His prayers, Jesus Christ Our Lord obtained for Peter that, in the exercise of his power, his faith should never fail" (Satis Cognitum, Leo XIII). (Satis Cognitum, Leo XIII) = is the Church wrong when she teaches that? "And indeed, all the venerable Fathers have embraced, and the holy orthodox Doctors have venerated and followed, their Apostolic doctrine; knowing most fully that this See of holy Peter remains ever free from all blemish of error, according to the Divine promise that the Lord our Savior made to the Prince of His disciples: "But I have prayed for you, so that your faith may not fail, and so that you, once converted, may confirm your brothers."" = is the Church wrong for saying that the See of Holy Peter remains ever free form all blemish error? Saint Alphonsus de Liguori (The Supreme Pontificate): "Those who introduce plague and ruin into the Church, who deny that the Roman Pontiff is the successor of Peter as regards authority in matters of faith and doctrine, or who affirm that the supreme Pastor of the Church, whoever he may be, can err in his judgments on matters of faith." = is Saint Alphonsus wrong too? Saint Robert Bellarmine (De Romano Pontifice, chapter 3): "The Supreme Pontiff cannot err in any way when he teaches the Church in matters of faith." = is Saint Robert Bellarmin wrong too? Saint John Bosco (The General Councils and the Catholic Church): "It is therefore impossible for the Pope in matters of Faith to teach error, for it is impossible for Jesus Christ to lie, or to be unable to keep His promises." = is Saint John Bosco wrong too? Do you have any document from the Magisterium, from Saint Peter to Pius XII, that says that a Pope can teach heresy? Do you have a SINGLE proof? @paularnorld3745

Accusing a pope of heresy is a very grave matter. You also might not understand what heresy is and isn’t. Your interpretation of what he said- if indeed you’re even interpreting what he actually said-could be wrong.

First of all, Bergoglio has shown on numerous occasions that he is not a pope, because he teaches heresies as part of his magisterium (which is impossible for the Pope, who is infallible). So I'm not accusing a Pope of heresy but just a modernist that sits on the See of Saint Peter. I'm not accusing him of formal heresy because I don't know his intentions, but of material heresy, which is completely impossible for a true Pope. If Bergoglio is the pope, can you please find a text of the infaillible Magisterium of the Church that says, as Bergoglio professed in his "infaillible magisterium", that "we should esteem the indigenous mysticism"? If Bergoglio is the pope, can you please find a text of the infaillible Magisterium of the Church that says, as Bergoglio professed in his "infaillible magisterium", that we can give communion to divorced and remarried persons? If all the false popes from John XXIII to Francis are true popes, can you find a text of the infaillible Magisterium of the Church that says that Catholics can pray with non-catholics (as they almost all did)? Pius XI actually infallibly taught that it is prohibited to do such things.

Pope Francis received the idolatrous statues belonging to the Amazonian tribes of the Pachamama and even led then into St. Peter's basilica in a profession.

Nope. That wasn’t pachamama and they weren’t worshipping the statue 😉 I don’t know if you know this, but Catholics don’t worship statues! 👀🙃😉

@@VoiceOfReason_ I'm a Catholic and have lots of religious pictures in my home. What I'm trying to say is that during the opening of the Amazon Synod in Rome and on October 4 probably in 2016, people performed a pagan, religious ceremony right in front of the Pope. They bowed down, faces to the ground, down on their knees before some pregnant, nude statues. And for your own information, these statues were carried all around the Vatican and even into St. Peter's Basilica. These scenes of idol worship caused worldwide scandal and our separated brethren, the Protestants, accused Catholics of worshipping idols due to the televised scenes. And you could even agree with me that once, the Pope visited the Americas and participated into the rituals that invoked the "sacred circle of the spirits" and the "Western grandmother". So many faithful Bishops have spoken and condemned such practices because the veneration of the images that neither represents Christ, Our Lady not any canonized Saint of the Church violates the first commandment of God; "You shall have no other gods before Me". I strongly agree with you that when there's no infallibility of the Pope, it emanates from the disobedience of the Pontiff to the counsels of the Holy Spirit. St. Robert Bellarmine even taught that when a Pope preaches heresy, he should be resisted. I have so much of videos that are showing how the Pope is pushing so many heresies in the Church. If you don't mind, I can share them with you. Otherwise,I really like your content. Your videos are simple to understand, clear and eye opening. God bless you

@@mikestore1462 I would be careful, the pope cannot teach heresy when speaking as the universal pastor of the faithful. What you are are saying goes against the indefectability of the church. I would recommend not listening to anyone in traditional sphere who says that the Pope teaches heresy. Also, just because the pope makes a prudential error, or even commits a grave sin(such as invoking a pagan deity), this does not make his office invalid.

Hi @Voice of Reason . I have a question. Do you think that the vatican should formally apologize for supporting the colonization of the Americas during the 1500s?

@@Brody_Tanner the spanish and portuguese were the ones that did the colonizing, however the vatican did support both of them as stated on the papal bull “The doctrine of discovery” issues by Pope alexander VI in 1493.

The irony of this apologizing for what is essentially ships being built and people using them to circumnavigate the globe, is that when taken to its logical conclusion, one must apologize for every technological advancement ever made and then adopt a “the world would be a better place if we just lived like cavemen and never even started farming to begin with” mentality. If it hadn’t been this group of people, it would have inevitably been another. You cannot escape technological advancement.
