You can fake clouds by connecting the sky texture to a mixrgb or a hue/saturation node and connecting a noise or musgrave texture to the factor. I haven't played with it a lot, but at least you get some variation in the skybox very easily

The best thing: you can animate the sunrise! I think nishita is great for stylized renders, and hdri's are better for realism. And I agree, there shoud be a clouds dropdown.

Btw, a good way to make the sky bluer without changing the "realistic" parameters too much, is to simply add a hue/saturation/value node, and slightly increase the saturation. I've found that the nishita node alone simply can not replicate some IRL blue skies. It just isn't blue enough!

Thanks Vishnu for this tutorial. I like to use the nishita skytexture for my product rendering as it creates nice shadows. But it messes with my background color. Any tip to be able to keep my original background wall color ? Thanks.

Not sure what i am doing wrong, but changing the altitude does nothing. I set it to the same altitude as my city, 251m and there was no visual change. Used the settings you used, again, no change. It stayed at the same orange/yellow color.

This is an amazing tutorial and I will definitely use this feature a lot! I just have 1 problem. So I build a scene, but the sun is too high in the air, and I tried setting down the "Sun Elevation", but the suns disappearing point, or whatever it's called, is above my scene, and I tried moving my scene up, but apparently that didn't help either, the sun just stayed at the same spot?
