*Season 2 ending in a nutshell:* Bernard meets Bernard , Bernard kills Dolores , Bernard resurrect Dolores , Dolores kills Hale , Dolores is now Hale , Dolores kills Bernard , then Dolores resurrects Bernard. Maeve died but actually survived. Ford is actually Anthony Hopkins. All this happened in only 76 million timelines at the same time.

It wasnt bernard that took delores out of the park is was arnold, but thats the thing, bernard had a house out side of west world, his name is bernard and he looks just like arnold, and no one knew bernard was a host, but know knew arnold looked just like bernard iether. so the only way thats possible is everyone is a robot, or bernard never went into the real world how does bernard live in arnolds house?

Great job putting all that chaos in chronological order. I thought season 2 built nicely on the foundation of series one, providing the audience with the opportunity to expand William's backstory and the perhaps sinister motivations of the Delos corporation with the Forge. I absolutely love what this series has done with the concepts and world building from the original novel and movie

they over did the M.Nightshamalan "ITS A TWIST" trope to the point where naturally sitting down and watching the show still would not make sense, you need to go to message boards and bounce idea's off others and/or watch youtube video's explaining the show to understand it. That is either a monumental Triumph of good writting OR a monumental Failure of bad writting.

Westworld should just be about Westworld this is what makes Westworld unique not the Robot AI revolution crap. "But AI revolution crap is what makes this show deep." A.I was a deep movie, Blade Runner was a deep movie/book ( do androids dream of electric sheep). They have turned what could be a mindless Read Dead Redemption IRL fun show but UNIQUE into a show that competes with some of the biggest thought provoking franchizes in the SciFi market and failing.

Thanks for this, but a couple of points -- 1) Halores only has 5 control units in her bag, not 8, and 2) I don't think Dolores beamed the hosts "into the valley beyond anyway" but rather is beaming the hosts and the valley beyond itself into some safe location (outside the park?) away from Delos. "I’m sending them and their world to a place no one will ever find them." I have no idea how she would even know about any non-park destinations, though. Hopefully the location will be revealed in Season 3.

I just finished rewatching Season 2. Good recap. You did miss the point that Ford tried to upload the hosts to keep them from attaining sentience. So far, we only have: Maeve, Dolores, Bernard, Akecheta (who is uploaded). That moment in the end when Bernard realizes he hears his own voice was incredible

I thought that was the whole point.. he wanted them to gain sentience and take over via his reveries and new storyline. So in the end, when bernard realizes it was him speaking to himself not ford, what is the significance there? that hes fully sentient? I thought he pretty much already was?

This has got to be one of the most confusing series I've ever watched. I didn't even know that I was watching different time lines until season 2. Not to mention any number of other things that I didn't catch on to. Well you've just saved me 20 hours of rewatching the first 2 seasons. I'm not really sure how all the time jumping adds to the story at all. I think I would like it more if it was all done in chronological order. Or at the very least have less subtle segues.

Season 1 of Westworld was pretty magical, seeing the mystery unfold and watching the emergence of real AI. Season 2 wasn't as good, but was still pretty damned decent. But... I'm not sure I like where the direction is going, in that it appears to be morphing into a generic scifi show featuring androids vs humans, and that'll lose the magic.

Great summary. I just completed a rewatch and there were holes in my understanding that you were able to fill in. I think season one is a masterpiece. Season two I liked better in my second watch, but it’s so needlessly complex. They should have abandoned the out of time storytelling and gone linear in season two. It would have made it much more coherent. Season three so far hasn’t moved the needle for me.

I didn't think the hosts' memories were wiped every day, they mentioned at one point that a loop was two weeks. I assumed that was the length of time guests stayed in the park.
