this was a beautiful talk.. I realized why all these years I have been unable to live freely as myself and make choices as myself. Why my anxiety is difficult to manage, why I am not going after the people, work, things, I desire. It is all from feeling unsafe to do so. I have not been going out into the world because I lack the skills to feel safe, so I remain hidden, to ensure my safety. Makes sense. I would not take a breathing exercise to a gun fight. Well, if my only mishap is lacking the skills to arm myself properly, then I no longer need to continue to live this isolated, hardship of a life. I just need the right skills, and skills I can learn. HUGE HUGE LIFE CHANGER Thank you .

As a a trauma survivor bullied since my first day of school till the last, still getting over my lifetime trauma, she addressed the huge question I have about feeling safe, allowing me to let go of my anxiety at long last. This is the first and only video talking about the real reason for PTSD. Thank you so much to everyone who brought this too me. Iv asked this question over and over and at last an answer. What an incredibly brave young woman🙏

Thank you so much for this presentation. If this gets enough attention, it will definitely be revolutionary. I hope you see this message of gratitude because it really put a label on the issue I was dealing with.

Great talk. Except she forgot to really tell us what the training is. How it's done. She mostly talked about her work and helping people. But not explaining that actual program. Confusing.

If you're curious how to make yourself feel safe I can share my story of how I've worked on this with a therapist years ago, so my therapist Natalie taught me that to feel safe I can imagine in my head that I have gone to a past, to a place where I was years ago where I felt good (It can be a beach by the ocean, it can be a house of a friend, it can be a forest with squirrels and butterflies) so imagine you're in this place where you felt very good when you were a kid, now imagine what you would like to be holding in your hands (that can be a ball, a plush toy, a stick, a yoyo) , now imagine what you would like to do in that place (run around happily, just sit there and observe, or maybe lay down and stare at the clouds), now imagine who you would like to be by your side (it can be a friendly little dog, or cat, or your childhood friend or maybe your grandma) in your imagination you can pet that dog and play with it, or talk to your grandma while also playing with the toy you have in your hands, try to imagine all of that like it's a good dream that you're having at night, exept that this is your daydream, in this daydream you may water a flower or pet some animals, you may talk to someone you trust in your imagination, you may imagine talking to a guardian angel, some people like to think that they are talking to God or some other higher being, and other people feel more comfortable imagining that they are talking to their friend or grandparents and that's okay too. Choose whatever version of this that you feel comfortable with (you may add characters from movies to that imagination/fantasy of yours if you like) also if you're imagining a forest in your head it does help to actually do that outside in a garden or in a real forest, somewhere where you can hear the birds, and if you're imagining swimming in the sea than it helps if you do that in a bathtub or swimming pool. Make sure to stay hydrated and to breathe calmly during your fantasy and have a nice experience!!

There is no right to feel safe at any time! Is it also a right to feel good about yourself at all times? No! Who enforces such rights? No one, because these arent rights!
