In my experience, an empath tucks these bits of exposure away. The lies are quietly added to a mental checklist. The instances of mask slips. It all stays tucked up in the noggin. It helps when you go no contact.

Yup! This video is spot on! My brother would agree to something or express his desire for whatever he liked at the time and then claim the opposite. It was so exasperating as they are messing with your mind! And he would do that smirk as people would argue with him. Thank you, HG! Your videos are such a help! 💜

No, they are not HG is the exception to the rule - as always, any criticism of the Narcissist isn't directed at him I'm grateful for the content and explanation. Before him, I thought I was going mad. But yes, the way they go on goes against goodness. They exist to cause problems. Nothing else.

'Life with mother' taught me to embrace the contrarian. I blame her and not my daddy issues today. It's so impossible to convince these people of anything they refuse to believe. It doesn't matter if you forensically break it down with visual aids. That will come off as condescending nearly every time.

Not the same as compartmentalized thinking? Contradictions are strategy for the greater and ultra but not so much lesser and midrange who do it unconsciously. I used to call them head games. Excellent video, imo. Thank you.
