I’m from a place that identifies as southern and it hurts me to my soul that he says “If you’re from the south you probably don’t understand about not identifying as a boy or girl” It hurts for two reasons: 1: He is… right. So very very unfortunately right. 2: There are a lot of trans people hiding in the south, who can’t be themselves because of how backwards things still are here. :( But there are a lot of us more open minded people here too, who are trying so so hard to make a difference here, and at times, it feels so hopeless. It feels like a loosing battle most of the time, to be honest, but I also love my home and my farm, and my family and I like living in the woods and around all this beautiful nature and mountains, and having a back porch to sit on and be in all this country. But the hatred that is still so prevalent here, hurts my soul. I wish more country folks would try to be more like Dolly Parton. She is good example of who some of us would like to be like. :) So please know that not all of us spread that awful hate. Some of us want to make our neck of the woods a more loving and open space for everyone, our trans brothers and sisters and every non-binary person in between. We want to make it a place where all races are welcome too. We just need a little extra help down here sometimes, because not everyone is on board with us yet, but I really hope that will change soon.

Best Ferns well I mean these days it kinda is. Now I’m not disagreeing with you or anything but these days people get praised for being rude, sexist or mean. Because to society that’s ‘cool’ or ‘funny’. So I mean being kind and accepting is what EVERYONE should be doing but not a lot of people do that. So I mean it is kinda rare, that’s why people praise it so much. And tbh that’s sad. The fact that society needs to praise kindness when it should already exist is sad. But yeah. Sorry if it’s long. I’m just saying people get praised for being rude as well lol.
