Saying hateful things about a white woman, because you feel that she is incapable of doing her biracial children's hair is not only judgemental but a reason why the "sponsor" of this vid & any other sponsors of your channel should & will be notified!

I understand people having different boundaries than me, but me personally, just the fear of creeps looking at my daughter means I don’t post more of her than what you can see in my PFP- her hand holding mine, that’s it! I understand posting more than that, but my point is that prevention is not some small meaningless useless thing… we CAN and SHOULD do more to protect our children, as it is our natural inclination to do so (or should be!)

The fact that I grew up before public social media really took off was such a blessing for me. Because I had privacy growing up, I'm now able to laugh at my embarrassing moments and share them at my own discretion. My mom would take plenty of videos of us, especially when we were younger, but she NEVER posted them online. We just laugh together at family gatherings at the silly stuff we did as kids. That's what every child deserves.

Im tired of them claiming its for a “virtual diary” if that were true their accounts videos featuring kids would be private. but thats because that ISNT the truth, the parents love the monetization and will even cater to creeps for some extra/higher likes and saves (Jacqueline putting her 2 yr old in a crop top and ripped jeans +bathing videos of her daugher washing herself w no sound other than the baby sounds Wren makes which creeps LOVED)

It’s odd how normalized it is to treat children like this. I can’t respect people who exploit their children for money, and I also can’t respect people who ask and express that they crave content of someone else’s child/ren. The idea that it’s considered a parenting style, to exploit a child is disgusting! If they only knew how many people save the footage of their children (people who are sick individuals and who harm children). People will not allow someone to flip through their phone album, but are more than willing giving up their child’s integrity. The argument it’s to provide financially for the child is so off, considering that it’s not a child’s job to take part in their family’s financial situation and make sure they contribute. *I wouldn’t even make a social media account for my dang cat!*

I watch a lot of “mom” content and its really easy to tell the difference between mom’s who exploit their kids and mom’s who just post about their families. A lot of the moms I watch do *NOT* post their children at all, instead they act out scenarios pretending to be their kids, and I think it’s genius and appropriate. They’re doing all the work while getting inspiration from their children, without exposing them to a massive amount of followers and without them having to “put in work”. There’s definitely a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it - problem is, a lot of these momfluencers are doing it the wrong way.

To me, being a social media exploited child is even worse than being a child actor. Indeed. They were child actors. You saw Macauley Culkin as Kevin, but you didn't see every minute of him being himself, at home, with a camera following him into the bathroom and bedroom. Seeing how it messed up kids being child actors already, mommy vlogging showing mainly the kids should be considered a major form of abuse, calling for cps.

Thank you, Toni for addressing this. As a 42-year-old mom of three, who doesn’t post about my kids, I cannot believe so many parents have become completely comfortable exploiting their children, and are often praised for doing so.🤯 Perhaps it’s because I’m a GenX woman, so that makes me “old fashioned” to the younger moms, but privacy and bodily sovereignty are important for all humans. Truly concerned, loving parents provide an environment where the child is able to understand who they are as an individual, and they’re are able to grow and learn without the whole world watching their every move. These mommy vloggers are not allowing their children to enjoy a normal childhood. It’s almost as if a dark spell has been cast on the minds of people who participate in, and applaud this type of “parenting.” It’s sickening and heartbreaking.

Posting your kids online is one thing, using them as a way to make content and get money is another one. I sometimes post a picture of my little sister who's 11 now, in my stories but that's it. She has no business being online and no one but our parents and I should know how she looks like naked or in underwear. People really don't want to accept the fact that internet is as amasing as dangerous. Way more sick folks are on social media than we think. If the content is not educating us about kids, it has in my opinion nothing to do online. Like you said, if the first mom really wanted to do a digital journal she could have done it offline and kept it to herself and family. This needs to stop Some people SHOULD NOT have kids, some people SHOULD NOT have the right to adopt kids. Will children ever be able to live a normal peaceful life on this planet ? I remember that. As an autistic person I was so angry and upset. I don't understand how anyone could do that. I've been pregnant twice and miscarried both times (I think it's important to add that around 20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage with some researchers/drs thinking miscarriages happen in up to 50% of all pregnancies, 30% being where the woman didn't know. Ending miscarriage stigma and shame is extremely important) so I may end up adopting one day and the second I get that child they will be *my child*. I cannot fathom having any other mindset; honestly it makes me sick. It almost seems evil, to take a kid in and have them bond to you and love you and trust you only for you to betray them and pretty much throw them away like they're worth no more than a pair of pants you grew tired of and gave to Salvation Army. I can't help but think that something like that would likely mess up a child for life.

If I'm remembering correctly, he also had a brain injury and may have been on the spectrum and the doctor told them, no, warned them that this would be extremely difficult and Myka went on camera crying about how that's her son and she's ready and she already saw him as her own. She started filming the journey to bring him from China and profited so, so much off of that poor boy. He got them the house, the clout, the cars, all of it. Only for her to talk badly of him in facebook mom groups and record herself treating him badly while he was having breakdowns.

When do they get to enjoy experiencing life without a phone in their face? It's my first time on your channel and i appreciated the intelligent discussion. Be well!

There is a couple online that has struggled with infertility for years. They just adopted a baby girl and filmed as they met her for the first time. All I could think about was the little girl was already getting exploited from the very minute she met her new parents. Her future friends and classmates will know that about her before she even meets them. She doesn’t get to pick who knows her private life and that she was adopted. There is nothing wrong with being adopted but to not gets a say of who knows and when they know is sad.

@@MissRedLu I agree. When I adopted my puppy I was in the moment. Didn’t occur to me to film it. There are people that exploit their dogs and make them do skits with costumes. I know dogs are people pleasers but I can assure you your dog does not want to wear a party and have you manipulate their movements to make it look they party when you’re gone. They also don’t want to pose on a raft in the pool making it look like they are drinking a white claw (Just an example of some Instagram reels I saw)… people are weird.

They don’t. They couldn’t possibly. I respect the people that include their kids in their content but don’t make their kids the center of it. As a mom, my baby being comforted goes before anything that I’m doing at that moment. You don’t have to be told to be there for someone when you care about them, especially your child.

I just became a first time mom and took me 7 years to get pregnant. I always told myself that I wanted to keep my baby’s identity away from social media. It was going well until, everytime I would send pictures of my son through phone message to my my mother in law she would post them on Facebook and tag me. She said she was just very proud to be a grandma and I felt like an ass for confronting her. Now that people has seen my son, now I sometimes post pictures of my son, and little second videos clips of him smiling on my story mode only so it disappears in 24hrs. I’m not a blogger and never intend too. Blogging everyday and exposing your child excessively making them do things and record everything they do is where the problem is for me and also posting them in multi social media apps. Some women make their child their whole identity and content that they forget when to draw the line, the damage they’re doing. It’s gross!!!!!

Putting your child online is a no no. I will never forget a random person who I had no contact with in real life was telling me about a pic of my child they saw online which was shared by one of my followers. My heart sank because I never even thought about implications of posting online. I told that person to not be sharing my child picture and from day forth you will not see any picture of my child online. That is a presence they would have build themselves.
