Finally running, it's awesome. 14 years for the restoration, it's really a long time, but it's worth it. The garden railway is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
@travelingtom9234 жыл бұрын
It was a long and expensive restoration but this locomotive will be good for a long time to come. Considering it's 121 years old we are lucky to see it running in any condition.

Very true. Where I live, I have passed a stuck jeep in a 1924 model T in the snow

@@travelingtom923 think of the stack talk of her lugging a train up the 4% eastbound grade from Chama
@travelingtom9234 жыл бұрын
@@caelumvaldovinos5318 I am sure it will happen sooner or later. This train almost looked like a giant scale model train set.

I'm glad a bunch of other historic vehicles were there with RGS 20 on its first excursion I'm surprised the entrance crossing got new gates, but the wigwag still doesn't swing
@travelingtom9234 жыл бұрын
No although some volunteers give the wig wag a good push when the train comes and it swings enough times by momentum for the train to go by.

#12???? Maybe that guy needed to look at the engine so he could get the number right! She's beautiful and sounds great.

The wigwag is still broken but the teardrop bell is working Are they ever gonna fix the mechanism of the wigwag?

Just a curiosity, what's it's max speed ordinarily, also would it still run well burning wood?
@r.c.r.rproductions84624 жыл бұрын
Probably no more than 40 mph. Realistically, most likely 30mph. And as for wood burning, it’s airflow design is better suited for coal, but with a different stack, grates, and smokebox and firebox, it would probably run on wood just fine.

Ten wheeler
@travelingtom9234 жыл бұрын
Yes ten wheeler and yes there is many standard gauge locomotives built mostly in the early 1900's. Pennsylvania railroad had many of them.
