story time when I was introduced to Digimon it was from 2 things: Digimon World (the game for PS1, loved your playthough of that by the way) an oddly enough Digimon The Movie. I was a stupid kid at the time in elementary school and honestly I never really sat down and watched all the seasons after Tamers. The English sub I watched through both 1 and 2 and honestly it does so much better then what the english dub accomplished but the one thing that I love from both the Sub and Dub is the OVA's and the Digimon Movie. Veemon is my favorite digimon and seeing his interactions with Terriermon and the cute egg rolling scene from the first part, all of it to me has charm. The English dub is funny in the way it uses its dubbing to its advantage, which is to use the voice actors in a way to give comedy and not have it be all serious. I always thought of it odd that they had smash mouth before shrek was a thing, and heck I still have the VCR version of Digimon the movie. It definetly helped with me enjoying things like Pokemon and maybe anime/RPGs as a whole. Also, Butterfly is such a good anime opening like oh my god

This is the GOOD creeds to hold as a youtube creature. Not many tend to take their time to revisit and come in with brand new takes on content they have already covered. Opinions are bound to change over years, and just taking the leap and throwing new thoughts, changed thoughts, onto your channel must be like breaking from out the musty potato basement you built and shut yourself in, realising you no longer want to exist in the potato basement, and taking a fresh new breath after years of sucking dank potato air. Aside from the bad audio quality from a cell phone app because my mic broke, I don't think I really changed my mind on what I said in my Doctor Who Angels Take Manhatten review though and while I plan to review MLP Escape from Catrina, I'm probably only going to do the story segment for my next review, the Doctor Who episode, Blink which I've been sitting on for over a year or so now... Might even can it outright but then I'd break continuity, it was supposed to be part of a four-part anniversary throwback that ends in Kamen Rider Cho Den-O Episode Yellow as a throwback to my Kamen Rider Cho Den-O Episode Red review which also happens to be my fourth and where I really started to grow as a reviewer.

I saw it with my Mum at the time as a kid, and, with genuine concern about the quality of the movie we'd both just gone to see, she said 'I told you this film had really bad reviews...' and I remember really having to make kind of a big effort to convince her that this wasn't, in fact, actually the Digimon: the Movie we'd just paid to see. This is a perfect companion piece to the original video, learning the hows and whys of the funny-in-hindsight changes really adds a lot, and of course the increased honesty and personal bits. Because really, everyone can review something if they keep at it, but dissecting from a personal perspective... And also, it's the best kind of period piece. The one that just is, that you just can't reproduce, like say.. FLCL

Worth mentioning is that even though they cut the side plot about the older DigiDestined being captured, the blurb on the back of the DVD still mentions it ("a wayward Digimon kidnaps the DigiDestined"). Also, fun fact: When the studio was negotiating with the Voice Actor's Guild about the English voice actors' pay rates for Digimon the Movie, the Guild determined upon viewing the English cut of the movie that the changes made to the source material were so drastic that it was not a dub at all, but an original work. As a result, the actors had to be paid higher rates rather than the standard rate for dubbed animation (which is significantly lower). So yes, the English movie is so far removed from the original Japanese short films that it is actually not officially considered a "dub" at all.

I personally enjoy the score more in the Digimon movie than in the original ones because I like the epic sound to them and at the same time the more ominous sounding scores in the originals feel out of place for me cause, I mean, it's Digimon, I know the characters are gonna win in the end because they always do, and the music doesn't make me feel otherwise. When it comes to Digimon, I'll take a heart pounding badass score over a ominous whimsical one any day.

11:44 That's Wendingomon or... ...Endigomon as it was known at the time. Kokomon is the in-training form. It's because Willis never really got a chance to learn the evolutions' names or else he'd be calling Terriermon "Gummimon".
