Hi Stacey, just stumbled across your channel, this is a great bowl cosy video, I am going to have a go at this, my cousin from Melbourne came to stay with me in England just before Christmas and she made me one of these with cute Koala's on the material on one side and plain on the other side, I love it.

OMG! Your approach to making bowl cozies is so much easier than others that I have seen! I have been making them for gifts and struggling - my husband saw me watching your video and said I have to make the one for his ice cream!! So I will be ordering your pattern!! Thank you for your tutorials - I am getting back into sewing and trying to learn to quilt. You are one of the few ladies that really make this seem less intimidating and fun! I have made many bowl cozies, but I am always looking for a better way to do things, and/or refresh my memory since I am a senior. This is an exceptional tutorial, clear, concise and to the point. All that we need to know, and no fluff. Thank you. Oh, I do find that if I go back at the end and add a side to side top seam it keeps the cozy neater after washing and drying. Thanks for your video.

Thank you so much for this video! Your game-changing tip of cutting the batting smaller than the fabric is a wonderful idea! I’ve made some of these in the past; it just occurred to me that this would be a good project to practice some loose, loopy stippling. It won’t show up like it would on a placemat or quilt and any inconsistencies would be camouflaged by the little seam angles etc. I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of this before 😂. Hi Stacey,I love bowl cosies. I've made many for Christmas & filled them with lollies( for some reason a lot of the adults favour the Jim Bean fudge 🤔). Sometimes I have used Christmas fabric with metallic & make it very clear not to use in the microwave. Even with 'safe' material I don't put them in there. My luck would be setting fire to the kitchen! I have to start making them for me as my sets all seem to disappear 😅. I hope you & family had a nice Christmas & have a great 2025 ! 🇭🇲🦜🦘
