I had a relationship for 10 years which ended 2 years ago. Prior to that, I had zero online dating experience. I had no problem getting dates or sex and sometimes the amount of women who gave me attention was overwhelming. I know this sounds like complaining about something most guys would love. I could go on 5-15 dates per week. I basically got it down to an exact formula to get action out of a woman. In the meantime, I realized it was soulless. That what I was missing was something more meaningful. Not only that, on the apps you get a picture rather than a real interaction with someone which can tell you 1,000x more if you spend just 10 minutes talking to someone. I've ditched those apps.

Before, dating was whoever was in your school or town or somewhere you could meet. Most people got setup or met someone going out with a group of friends. The girl/guy would get to know you, your personality, your sense of humor etc.. There is more to attraction and good relationships, than just physical looks. But now with a dating app, all you have to go on is looks and some stats, like height, income etc.. Of course you are just going to try to get your dream person statistically. Problem is they don't exist and if they do, they have so many men/women begging them for dates, no way they are going to try in any relationship. Glad I grew up in the 80's, life was much better lol.
