It's a nice sentiment but if you look at his channel, the military stuff got over a million views, followed by a climbing video getting 300k views, and going back the outdoor ones are going for sub 200k. The core audience isn't really enough, if you want this to be a career, especially with the weird unpredictable ways the youtube algorithm can end up screwing you over

It’s cool to see someone closer to my level trying and being afraid just like I am. Makes it easier to see the difference between a pro athlete and a regular person too, plus she’s a woman and there aren’t many non pro women getting to do their thing on a KZbin channel like this, so perhaps helps other women who are now entering the sport or have already entered by are still trying like her! :)

The reason we love your videos, with Marte or w/o is that you guys always feel genuine to us. Magnus even in more or less planned videos you're sometimes a bit dorky and fooling around and thats your strenght to not redo things until they're "perfect". what most content creators dont get is that ppl dont want to watch robots or cooperate designed ad's. youtube is (or used to be) ppl creating content for ppl and the ones who stood out, where mostly the ones most genuine. Magnus, you have gotten this far because of your honesty and vulnerability in putting your passion out there for everyone to see. I definitely love it when Marte is in the videos. I love her energy and I am super impressed with her growth in climbing, but it is her personality that is my favorite part about her being in your videos. Still, I started watching your videos because I was searching for a video about foot placement to show my kids because I couldn't get them to stop standing on the middle of their foot instead of the front half. Now a couple of years later, we are watching all of your videos because of the fun and adventure. It has definitely gotten my kids to climb more than me just trying to convince them to climb. i am aware you choose such titles so that people get interested but tbh despite wanting to know about the future of this channel I was almost a bit disappointed at first cause when i saw the new upload i was just so excited for some bouldering with you and marte. this is not meant as criticism but rather as a positive feedback about your most ´normal´videos which i, and i am sure a lot of people, very much enjoy!!!:) and it ended up being this anyways so thanks for sharing. also, as a female, yes it is super nice to see marte back cause she is fab.. would for sure be cool to see more females in general, there is still such a lack in female representation in this sport etc.. but also as a woman AND passionate climber fair enough i might not be so much into random strength tests and competitions as some male fellas perhaps but anything climbing related like collabs with the wide boyz, adam ondra, going outdoors, explaining beta of hard problems, slab of the week etc i really love :))

You have something special and your colab with Adam showed the world what we know for a long time now, you have more talent than just climbing, and your way to to the top has been both symbolic as evident by the support you have received, not just those beside you, but from all over the world. I think its good to have a contrast sometimes by having more than one person climbing sometimes! Its why Eric Karlsson and Bobat are so interesting to watch. They have a group of people that all have different strengths and weaknesses, so seeing how people approach different problems can be incredibly entertaining and enlightening. Seeing an elite athlete crush everything is still very entertaining, but it does make it harder for an audience to judge the difficulty or technicality of a boulder, especially when they aren't deeply involved in the sport themselves. Having a group dynamic can be fun, and I think it would be a good fit for your channel! Always lovely to see Normal girl too haha

I admit to enjoy it when Marte is in it, I can relate more, but also enjoy other videos, because they are often so friendly and fun. Always learn a bit every time, movement, a placement of foot, etc. My husband and I started climbing at 64 in 2018, only do gym top rope now for safety, 5.7 - 5.9 but we enjoy it so much, figuring out the problems is the most enjoyable thing. We learned a lot from your videos. Keep going it is very enjoyable.

I loved the montage!!! As a pretty average rock climber, I would personally just love to see going to a bunch of different gyms, (try to do like the hardest route at every gym and like mark off every gym in like your country or something after you've climbed their hardest route), impressing a bunch of people with your skills like reactions, just more public stuff I think would be a lot more entertaining, stop being so humble! lol

You all are an adorable couple. So glad to see your channel continue to grow. I’m working up the courage to get back into climbing after falling out of shape. Thank you for the motivation! ❤

In addition to Marte videos which are always fun, how about collab'ing with some pro female climbers (Janja Garnbaret, Natalia Grossman, Stasa Gejo, etc)? More female audience, plus get inspired to train hard too. Two birds, one stone!

Love the workout montage, Magnus. It is great to see both of you. The concept of always trying to improve is sometimes known as CANI - it stands for 'constant and never-ending improvement'. I learned it from Anthony Robbins as it is how I am, as well. Happy climbing!

This video was lit! Loved it and laughed so hard at the end (and it was actually super cool while you intentionally made it funny with chalk all over your face). Love this channel. One of the few I immediately play when a new one comes up.

We need more cheeky training videos :P Just create what feels good and take your own path. Don't just let the amount of followers determine the content. Nice to also see Marte and how she improved. People can relate to her, as most of us are not (world) competition climbers and just want to progress like she does. That being said, I would love to see more of Marte's training, so how she improves strength, technique, etc., together/with you. I really liked the laser-pointer episode :D

This video as actually amazing. What a great way to thank the viewers. Especially since I'm new to climbing and I always prefer this kind of video over the pre-planned super "what up youtube?" kind of videos That ending was hilarious as well. I love the meta talk while recording. Reminds me of the reasons I loved watching Scream II as Wes Craven was setting up the stage for how killing off characters without the audience knowing how, while still telling us exactly what the rules of a second horror movie always was. Rules that he gladly broke. And watching this video gave me that exact level of enjoyment, especially since it also shows two climbers at different levels. I wish Marte would have given tried more attempts when she failed, but that's just me. I love seeing people improve even if they think their progress doesn't matter. The harder something is the more important to watch for all signs of progress. This is a pure gem of a video. Extremely well round great content. Thank you. Rock on!
