The way I got introduced to Kotor was an accidental pre-order in my local library. I thought I was pre-ordering a audiobook being a Star Wars fan who enjoyed the EU; I was utterly surprised to find I had in fact reserved the full PC game. I played the game to its entirety within that span and brought a copy to boot. Absolutely one of my all time favourites save for Kotor 2 which topped it for me. What an amazing time to be a Star Wars fan back then. I legit hope someday I can show it to my own family someday and have them experience it for the first time, just to relive my enjoyment. That's why I love blind playthroughs on youtube =) .

Battlefront 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. I remember 5-6 year old me getting not knowing how much the game had in it. Over the years my brother and I would go on to discover such cool details about the game such as launching boarding parties on enemy cruisers or even hero assault on Mos Eisley. I’d highly recommend picking it up on steam. Any computer can pretty much run it and it has a wide selection of mods to choose from. You will have to mess with the resolution a bit but it’s worth the hassle

I love SW Battlefront 2. One cool way you can break the game during space battles is if you take off in a hanger and land the ship in the middle of the force field between the hanger and outer space. You can then jump out of the ship you'll end up walking around the capital ship in outer space.

It wasn't until I found the 2nd best way to kill them that I got over that fear... Punch off their canon arm by aiming for the armpit... Takes like 2-4 hits with your blade, they can still melee unless you take the other arm too, but unlike losing the melee arm they actually die after a set period so you can ignore them afterward unless holding position, fewer strikes required than vitals sniper shots too.

I just bought the game on XSX, even tho there's no multiplayer anymore, galactic conquest is pretty good, and the space battles and entering the enemy fleet and destroying it from the inside oh man, thats awesome, im glad that I can play this game again, I havent play it since I was a kid with a ps2 the battlefront 2 game from 2017 is such a waste of potential man... I have also bought KOTOR 1 and 2 on steam, and again, KOTOR 1 on switch, I bought KOTOR 1 and 2 on the xbox too, but the text was too blurry, the format was 4:3 (no widescreen) and without QoL that the port of the switch version has, so I refund them and waiting for a port of KOTOR 2 on switch, awesome games, both of them

2 other OG XBox Star Wars gems are Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast & Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Jedi Academy has character creation, Light & Dark Side powers, & respectable real-time 1st-person blaster & 3rd-person lightsaber gameplay.

Star Wars Galaxies is a game I will champion and never stop talking about as the ultimate sandbox. Player housing, player run cities, player driven crafting and economy, dynamic PvP with territory control, a full space sim with multicrew gameplay and seemless ship interiors. It was the ultimate sandbox AND it was the ultimate sandbox IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE.

The fact that I can play Jedi Knight 1 and 2, Episode 1 Racer, Republic Commando, KOTOR, The Force Unleashed, and now Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga all on my switch feels like a dream come true. I cant wait to see what else Aspyr brings to modern systems especially since we have gotten physicals of each one of them through Limited Run (and Lego got its own physical of course lol)

A gem of mine is a DVD box of the original trilogy that includes a demo of Battlefront on Endor, with some differences to the final version of the game. I played a lot of Battlefront 2 with my best friend before the OG Xbox Live was shut down, we were both pleasantly surprided to find a small community that regularly played the game (hopefully that magic can be relived in the future with Insignia). I got Jedi Academy on PS5 when I found out that the game has online multiplayer. I'm mainly a console gamer but might have to play some legacy Star Wars games on PC because of the mod support.

Battlefront Elite Squadron and Battlefront Renegade Squadron shouldn't be slept on though, neither Fatal Alliance another Ubisoft Star Wars game. However Renegade was a PSP exclusive if I remember correctly made by Rebellion

It's sad how many great Star Wars franchise sequel/new games got canceled: Battlefront 3 Knights of The Old Republic 3 (Imperial) Republic Commando 2 1313 Etc

The thing I hate most about Disney Star Wars games is how weak and safe everything is. The weapons are like nerf guns, barely causing any destruction. There's no cuts from lightsabers. The Jedi barely jump high at all or do flips, it's like they smoked a bunch of weed before the match so they're lazy. The Sith are polite instead of ruthless. The lock-on systems do all the fighting for you. There's no war-like immersion where you really feel the struggle, unlike this clip for example. The music is always so lighthearted, their sound design never has darker tones like in Episode III the videogame. There's so much depth that they just choose to get rid of it all in favor of surface level entertainment

Battlefront 2, KOTR 1&2, all the Dark Empire/Jedi Knight games, Galaxy MMO, and The Force Unleashed, were the ones that ruled my childhood

I still think KOTOR 1 and 2, even in it's unfinished state, offer a far far FAR better story than any of the movies combined. Kotor 1 & 2 we're what got me into star wars and I remember being incredibly disappointed by almost all the movies. Even the good movies I have a hard time sitting through, I only think parts of them are good.
