Gotta wonder what Brandon Herrera thinks of this. Seems to draw some of its inspirado from Korobov. One Korobov rifle in particular, I forget its name, used the mag as a grip. Guess that makes it a "semi-bullpup" since the trigger group is at the mag well and the action is above the mag well. The FG-42 is also said to be a "semi-bullpup."

Oh my god. OBoB shenanigans are now recognised worldwide. This not an official conversion or somehow a industrial project. This is a child of some russian very "special" inventor OBoB. If I'm remembering correctly he tried to offer this to military and police forces. But nobody wanted it. But he continued to push on. And became a meme for russian gun community

With the way the grip is, isn't there a risk of you hitting the mag release? Also the AK mag itself wouldn't seem like the most comfortable grip, not sure who would actually use this configuration

Vitaly Boyarkin (the bald guy with glasses at the beginning of the video, the creator of the kit) has long and unsuccessfully been trying to alternately offer this kit to the military and law enforcement agencies. They test, then they say something like "we'll call you" and that's it. He is very stubborn and does not lose hope of finding a buyer.

In general, his company is not even officially involved in the production of accessories for weapons. According to the Rusprofile website, the main activity of NTF "Medium" is the "Production of electrical, sanitary and other construction and installation works" + another 26 positions hidden for unregistered users.

I thought the entire point of a bullpup was to increase the barrel length of the weapon to get more power and range out of a similar sized rifle package. This doesn't even have a longer barrel, just a second trigger. WHY DOES THIS EXIST?!?!?!

Fun fact: in some of fps games that has blocky characters, they hold mag instead of the pistol grip to fire AR-15s or AK-47s so this gun is made for these games. (Sorry for the bad english)

Wait isnt this a half decent idea? Its basically normal ak but you can remove a huge amount of length for room clearing and the like. Plus im sure it would be appreciated by tankers as it is a compact rifle with no loss of capability
