I live near a school campus. It is a school property with three campuses, actually, an elementary, middle and high school. When they have the back to school night in the fall the streets around the campus are parked full. It's alarming how their parents let their kids dress, this isn't the kids being sneaky on a Friday night but right there with their parents. 7th and 8th grade girls wearing short shorts, and I mean SHORT. One girl wrote into a school board challenging the school dress code saying that there were NO clothes for girls that met the dress code. A few weeks ago I was at my gym am a woman bent over directly in front of me. Her actions seemed to have no purpose because there was nothing to pick up and it wasn't even a decent stretch. Her bottoms were actually see through. I kept ignoring her but when I finally looked up she scowled at me and opened her mouth to say something I interrupted and said 'get away from me tramp'. Two days later she entered with a male and I saw him looking at me like he wanted to say something. I believe he realized I'm extremely fit and decided to keep his mouth shut. I'm a little torn on this. Because it's fully possible that these women are complaining about the WRONG type of attention. There's good and bad attention. Like if a man leers in a creepy way, that's gross. If someone glances and checks you out without being in a trance....that's 'good' attention. I think there isn't anything wrong with wanting attention when you're just trying to show off your hard work or your nice looking butt. People will look. But you'd be very dishonest if you claimed that there isn't a PATTERN with men looking very overtly and sexually. You will survive, don’t look back just train the hardest and sweat you can. Anything else and you are not full strength, it’s the way it is they take it away. Core dumbbells, bench, high bar in garage corner, like that. May take more money to get out easier. Train as hard as you ever can like your life depends on it, sweat like you will stay clean and dry, never stop in you gym trip to talk shet or at all, get the F out and focus on making money not spending means developing wealth. No complaining, blast everything and forget them all even losers to take your strength suck it dry. And just do it. Focus. F the world. So glad I saw this video. I literally had this talk with my daughter the other day. She was wearing shorts to school that were way too short. I tried telling her this but her mother (who I am divorced from) doesn't seem to have an issue with it. As a woman who goes to the gym, I wear tight leggings (due to a circulation disease), but I wear loose shorts over it and a decent shirt because I'm a decent woman. I've had a girl ask me why I didn't just take off the shorts, I told them it's because I'm not here to show off, I'm here work out. That's what the gym is for, to work out, and covering up when working out is so comfortable, plus sweating more at the gym is relatively good (stay hydrated), cover up and sweat it out!

TRUE STORY---I had a lady friend, some years ago, that joined an all-female gym (Women's Workout World). She told me that all of the mature women would dress in sweats because they had come to get a serious workout, but some of the younger ladies would normally dress in "prettier" things. BUT, if any woman walked in wearing sexy attire, they would be mocked by all the others (usually behind their backs, but sometimes to their faces). As a regular gym guy I can honestly say that most of us look the other way when we see the gal in the booty shorts and sports bra doing butt up leg curls and squats, etc. But some gym gals keep pushing it. That advice only makes legitimate sense if your gym is frigid to the point of having frost on the equipment. The interval between sets shouldn't allow you to get cold enough to get injured from tightness in any normal indoor gym with a common training schedule. But coaches and trainers have half-assed education in such topics, and many of them feel an overpowering need to say something authoritative about every topic and every environment, whether they know it for certain or not. They took an Exercise Physiology class that said "cold muscles get tight and cause injuries," so by golly they'll preach that you need to wear bearskin leggings in Miami between reps. :)

Was at the YMCA yesterday. There was a high school girl there with a group of friends. All dudes except for her and 1 other girl. The other girl and the guys were working out. This girl was not. She had on shorts so short that her butt cheeks were hanging out and she had them pulled up into her butt crack. Her top was basically a sports bra. This girl could not have been more then 16. And she was just hanging out, not even lifting or on a machine. There were men there old enough to be her dad, grandfather and even great grandfather. It was embarrassing! I did notice that none of the guys/men at the gym paid her a bit of attention. I saw one man, maybe mid to late 20’s, give her a WTF are you even doing here look. That’s about it. They need some sort of dress code at gyms. It doesn’t have to be too extreme but you shouldn’t work out in public in what is basically underwear.
