Hello mate, so sorry for your loss. My Gran had vascular dementia. We tried really hard to keep her at home. She set fire to the curtains so we had to put her in a home. It was heart breaking. Sometimes a home is the best solution. For safety. Life will get better mate. I am so pleased you talked openly about things.

I know what you mean about perfect time to do things, I have the same trap. Getting it 90% right and done is better than nothing. I feel for you mate, going through exactly the same bereavement at the moment, both our dear mums same age. Just take things day by day, stay on course mate, you are on the right path.

When I first gave up drink and drugs I felt like I needed to put maximum effort and volume into everything to stay on track, because I am prone to be lazy and fall off the wagon if I let my guard down. I think my next phase of self improvement though, is going to be to focus more on doing what I realistically can, rather than doing the maximum possible at every single thing. I have to be careful though because of my natural laziness. 👍
