On 29th September 1888, an 18-year-old Iulia Haşdeu passed away. The daughter of the genius B.P. Haşdeu, she possessed a remarkable intellect - an intellect that not even death could quieten. For, six months after her passing, her father received an unsettling message, seemingly from Iulia’s ghost. Spirit communication delivery via automatic writing, it marked the beginning of an epic and haunting tale that would lead a father to build not one, but two Spiritism temples for his child, his hand guided, at all times, by the ghost of his beloved Iulia.

Hello! I actually have a story to share about the the Hasdeu Castle! When I was a kid, I went on a school trip to visit it and while the building itself is beautiful and well-preserved, the atmosphere inside is very heavy and unsettling and it felt like I was moving through thick fog for the entirety of the castle tour. I also got this splitting headache the moment I stepped inside the castle and lost it the moment I stepped outside. However, the most notable experience was in the ballroom. The castle has a balcony on the second floor overlooking the dancefloor, the tour guide was showing us this framed section of the wall where the original paint was preserved (they were doing restoration renovations on the castle at the time), and I kept feeling watched, I felt like we were all being observed by someone standing at that balcony, so I couldn't help but keep turning around to see if there was someone up there, which there wasn't (of course). But the feeling was so intense and it kept nagging at me that I had to step out for the rest of the tour and didn't finish it. I spent what was left of it outside in the gardens, thankfully, I didn't miss much. In hindsight, I should've asked the tour guide about it, but I used to be such a shy and socially anxious kid, I didn't have the courage to do it. And I was afraid my schoolmates would laugh at me if I did. Funniest thing is, I've read online reviews and comments from people who have too visited the castle and many of them confess to feeling calm and at ease at the place, but that wasn't the case for me at all. Anyway, that was my experience with the Hasdeu Castle. Hope you find it as interesting as I did. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas, everyone!

New experiences can be scary. I'm old. I've stepped into that fog before. On a battlefield, as a small child, I saw/felt it. the area was busy, noisy, and crowded....and none of it was visible. I was briefly terrified before my curiosity took over. the noise, the SMELL....the soldiers who looked up to see a little girl in a pink coat staring at them. They met my eyes. Admittedly I had been rather uninterested in going there, it was a school trip. Nothing I had been taught prepared me for the blood, overwhelming grief, and terror of the combatants. I was traumatized. Gods bless the woman who calmly came over and took my hand. She worked for the park service. She was a rock. SHE KNEW what I saw, and gently explained to me that it was not uncommon for a child to "see" the horror of the battle out there. It's okay, she told me. It happened, but a long time ago. She explained that what was important was to remember why it should never happen again. I asked why adults didn't see it. she said that some can, but usually it is small children as they are more open to see things. And so, over my life I've stepped into the fog a few more times. Now, without fear to hold me back. Granted, the experiences were somewhat less vivid over the years. Thank Gods for that woman that stepped forward to hold my hand. She taught me not to be afraid. The most horrible part, the part they leave out of the history books.....was that with all the dust and blood, they could'nt TELL EACH OTHER APART....they were shooting some of their own men and they KNEW that! They were all shooting at everything they could see moving. and both sides were sure they were losing. No way to tell. Sickening.

Wow this is what I come to see. I want to read Sic Cogito even if I have to machine translate it myself. It's actually really sad that this family devoted so much time to studying the human condition and spirit, so many writings, and they are utterly forgotten. I can't find any work from Bogdan for sale anywhere online and just a few university libraries that list Sic Cogito and his daughter is even more obscure. There is a very small amount of people that even know of her and her dad today let alone read their works despite them devoting so much to time to studying humanity. Thank you and Radiana for this awesome video

Actually a lot of people know about them in Romania. Yes most of the books can be bought only from Romanian sites but I managed to find a free pdf of Sic Cogito online. PS: about Sic Cogito, B.P.H.'s writing style is extremely odd in this book, thing which could be lost in the translation

Oh Laura this was such a beautiful story! I’ve never heard of either of those people, and an actually very much embarrassed about it. As they were so very much intellectuals, and she as much of a Prodigy as you could ever imagine. I couldn’t even think why such people would defile her stone memorial, and even going so far as to steal the busts of her and Jesus. Thats simply unforgivable. Please note that your works are so appreciated,! And in cases such as these it’s definitely a learning experience. As I said before I’ve never been exposed to these people, and I wish that I had. And on the top of that it shows how much the deceased of this mortal world are simply just Changing their forms. They absolutely still exist, but in a much better place. And surrounded by beauty and the people who they love. What a tale! Top Marks Lady Laura! Keep it up!! 👏👏👏👏👏

It is a great rarity that I subscribe to any channel. However, this is one of the rare channels I have subscribed. I have very little belief in the supernatural. But the historical facts presented are amazing. I am also very open to the fact that just because I do not believe in something does not mean it does not exist. I am nobody, an authority at nothing. There is no way I am going to completely disregard millions of people over my own belief. Surely many are lying. Surely may are telling the truth. This channel is fascinating to me because of the approach that is taken. There is no ridicule to those that do not believe. There is no ridicule to those that do believe. I will never unsubscribe from this channel, whether or not I ever experience anything supernatural.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! I knew about Iulia Hașdeu, but not in so many details... for me the lesson is that as much you would love someone who passed, you have to learn to accept this and to stop before you lose your life becoming a shadow. Of course, they were special, gifted people, and their way of living through grief maybe brought enrichment to the world's culture. But for the average people this should be like a lesson that you have to let go. I lost my father a while ago and I struggle ever since, but I don't want to become like Bogdan Petriceicu Haşdeu, and I don't think my dad would like this either...

Excellent! Never heard nor read about this case, extremely interesting, great vid!! Will check out your friends channel. The design of the temples and the laws of it seem to mirror Ancient Egyptian beliefs and temple construction, apart from the fact that Iulia was an old soul of probably ancient origins too. The lay out of the mirrors inside the temples are extremely ancient technology, it is written that inside the great pyramid mirrors were also installed in particular spaces, they were highly polished stones, obsidian and the like. The Maya also used highly polished obsidian as divination tools and actual mirrors. 😊

Hello Paranormal Scholar, The symbols used are very like FreeMasons and The Lessor Keys of Solomon. I thought if you became aware of this, you would could possibly bring it up as sequel. However, be aware of what your reading and that Beings will interact with you when reading Higher magic books. The being make immediate presumption of your intentions being not necessarily of wholesome nature. Be sure you buffer this with understanding and attempt to not say their names. Even if they are written in the book. King Solomons Grimores are the names and Sigils of the beings that helped him build a temple. I had no idea of this Father and Daughter duo. I Love your show on KZbin. Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas.
