No one can sing that song like Allan Clarke. No one. Thank you, Allan Clarke. You are truly amazing... voice, charisma, appeal , talent and all.

This is my favorite version of all the times Allan has sung this song. His voice is beautiful, he looked at the magical lights with wonder. His smile and those eyes always tug on my heart. He just seems to make a connection with you through the camera and I love him dearly. He touches my heart and my eyes fill with tears over this song that has so much meaning to me. Allan is The Hollies and no other singer can replace him. I hope he knows how much he is loved.

I saw Alan Clark in 1987 with my Dad, and we saw the Hollies 6 times over a few years. My Dad became a recluse and wouldn’t see me or my daughter due to his alcohol issues. The police found him and he’d been dead for three months when he was found. I organised his funeral and the song I chose when he was carried in was ‘He Ain’t Heavy’ there’s a story attached to the song but too long for here. Thanks to The Hollies for writing the song that meant so much to me and my Dad xx
@rob_in_stowmarket_uk3 жыл бұрын
Neither Allan, nor any of the other Hollies had a hand in writing ‘He Ain’t Heavy… ‘. It was written by Bob Russell and Bobby Scott, two American songwriters
