I love that first sidewalk option (textured cobblestone with the borders to separate slabs of it) and I think that would go best with the deepslate road. That being said, I also love how the rail on the brick road is raised, giving it some depth.

Maybe he could use the new Deepslate block options with slabs and such to add depth while keeping the first sidewalk. The colors would stay the same but it will give it the depth that you all like so much (counting myself as well).

For the road, I personally am a fan of the slabs more because having the rails raised half a block looks better and more realistic in my opinion

31:09 I would vote for the brick slab road option, as the small difference in leveling adds more depth and differentiation between the sidewalk, road, and tracks. I also think the cobblestone sidewalk would complement the roads very well!

i really really love the roads next to the rails being half a block down!! it feels weird to have sidewalks and train tracks on the same level, and the slab thing adds really nice contrast!

The deepslate roads looks nice with the dirt sidewalk.. I think the half slab looked wonderful 😍 gave a nice varying depth to it all.. I liked the brick too.. the only thing I could see as a problem is a few of the buildings are already brick.. you may lose some level of prospective if the walls and the path are to simmiler..

I like the cobblestone or perhaps even diorite with the same pattern for the sidewalk and the path block and dirt train yard. I like the depth that the path blocks give and how your sticking slabs and elevating the train tracks itself. Train tracks actually need a layer of gravel under the track to deal with the vibration of trains so I think the use of depth and realism really makes it pop!

I really love the lowered halfslab road design- it makes sense with how rails are raised from the ground. I am however not a fan of the sidewalk it's paired with. I think from a resource and color perspective the deepslate is a decent choice, or the more neutral cobble, but I'm almost wondering if you could actually utilize the plain stone? It has a flatness to it that reminds me of concrete, and is a more neutral gray than the cobble

Beautiful builds as always Bdubs! My personal picks are the dirt sidewalks with brick slab road. I also wanted to mention something I did in my world you might like. If you place a vertical shaft and metal girder it you can then hang a lantern from it, makes a great sconce. I made light polls with them and gear boxes in the air running my shafts like power polls instead of underground. Anyway, stay awesome friend, hope you feel better, and happy new years!

Keep an eye on the bees. Usually flowers outside cause bees to try to track to those and ignore inside flowers, breaking the farm. Unless recent updates fixed that, of course. Would be good to know for sure. Thinking of concrete sidewalks irl, I like the second cobble sidewalk example. For a more rural setting, I really like the dirt sidewalk example, but for this setting it would be too much color, and a little too yellow. Dark gray is good for roads. Slab height difference would be awesome.

Personally, I'm liking the road-sidewalk combination on the far left with the cobble sidewalk and the slab road, it's a very smooth transition and i really like the slightly elevated rails! Though, for the roads on the same level, definitely the deepslate. We saw enough brick pains this episode lol

my opinion on the path and road situation is: Deepslate sidewalks (as to not draw attention to it where it sorrounds buildings), and brick road a full block down from it as seen by the red wool house in the test world at 31:10 . And if the full block between sidewalk and road is picked, it would be nice to have some parts with stairs/or slabs, so one can choose to spare their thumb from that single exhausting tap

"you failed" -- got to love how Bdubs gives it to you straight Sidewalks -- I really didn't like the first one, I think the bright white might get to be too much after a while. Couldn't really be definitive on the others as I don't know what all of the other buildings would be. There's a big difference between Tango's dark build and Bdub's red... if that makes any sense.

Deepslate roads with red slabs for the sidewalk is my vote. I think the dark deepslate will look good with the street lamps you designed and I think the way the slabs give you a slope up to the railroad tracks is a beautiful detail.

I prefer sidewalk option 1 and the deepslate road partly because they're most familiar to the roads I'm used to seeing. The reason I don't like the brick texture as much is because they're so similar to the texture you used to make the buildings. It just isn't enough contrast imo. I also really like dirt option for the side walks as well and it's really hard to pick between that and option 1. Either is fine for me but I guess I slightly prefer option 1 more. But regardless I think all the road and sidewalk options are gorgeous. Perhaps this is a strange analogy, but it's like going to an icecream parlor and only getting to pick 2 flavors when they're all so good! What mean to say is that no matter which option you go with I know you'll be able to make it work❤️

At 31:14 or so, you show off your street lamp designs, and one of them has an empty blaze burner on top. If you want, you can light those empty blaze burners with flint and steel, and you can also give them soul sand or soul soil to turn them blue. Great for decoration!

My favorite sidewalk road combo is the cobblestone plus the half slab down brick road. It gives the rails and the sidewalk a nice depth contrast that the full block up seems to exaggerate

I personally would suggest the bordered cobblestone sidewalk, with the deepslate road, only use half slabs for the deepslate road. I love the perspective shift of having the train tracks raised up half a block above the road.
