In the exact video he had to drive it until most of the lights disapeared however it lacked those systems until their lights went off... in other words he had to drive with no assistance systems or power steering. He also couldnt pull a code off of the car for fear he would cause damage in doing so because dodge designed it that way, and he also couldnt complete the test for this reason. We'll see what happens in the winter when they start failing though. Hopefully dodge fixed it.

@@justinkaufman495 yeah, it’s because he disconnected the battery… there’s a calibration procedure after do that. Most euro cars with electronic steering/baking have this reset procedure. That’s why the lights went out after a while.

@tonunknown1 yeah that's another thing with these newer cars finding so many amazing places to hide the battery this could become a major issue. You can clear the codes on a car temporarily by disconnecting the battery. It's not the best way, but you can.

This is the first of what Dodge is doing to counteract those new emissions rules. If you can't have crazy combustible power, hybrids will be the next best thing. Now Dodge can lean into handling and reducing unnecessary weight to keep their RT models quick, loud and responsive, no matter what the government tries to regulate. I like it, but 300hp straight to the wheels would've been a sticking point for me during production.

The electric motor aids it. 10 times better then a boosted vehicle for reliability. Have you ever done an oil change on a hybrid? Can drive 5000 miles and the oil will still come out golden. Hybrids have the least stress due to there nature.

@@Suckmyring I'm a mechanic who works on turbocharged cars daily, they are always cleaner burning than an N/A engine, sure there are exceptions like people who have no idea what an air fuel ratio does and run way too rich, but outside of those and Mazda rotary engines I've never seen a dirty turbo engine that burned major amounts of oil. If they are tuned and maintained properly a turbocharged engine will always be cleaner and more efficient.
