SAME! I've been through all of this as well and these people have no right to play victim in these situations when their lies come falling down. They come out and praise these "alternatives" to chemo and radiation and people who are actually suffering and grasping for anyway to heal and survive. Can't even explain how much that fucking frustrates me.

A while back I heard this stuff described as ‘munchausen by internet’ and I think that describes these people very well. It reminds me of that woman who infamously lied about surviving the 9/11 attacks and became the face of survivors by fundraising and doing talk shows and running a survivors group, until her whole story was proven to be entirely made up. It wasn’t even about money, she gained very little, it was about the attention and love which I think is what these two cases were largely about more than any money raised.
@biguattipoptropica
@biguattipoptropica Жыл бұрын
That case is sliiiightly different, because her burns and arm injuries were caused by a devastating car crash where most of her friends died (and I believe she was the only survivor). Like she absolutely did it to receive love and attention and it was a scam and she was wrong for doing it, but I do think an equal motivation for her was just feeling like she belonged somewhere and was understood again.
@blistertooth
@blistertooth Жыл бұрын
God, Tania Head. Her story’s insane on several levels-she wasn’t even in the States on 9/11, she was in Barcelona. She pretended one of the people who actually died in the towers was her fiancé (later husband as the stories changed), she claimed Welles Crowther saved her life (he was a hero and saved 10 people in the attacks, he didn’t survive) and WENT TO SEE HIS PARENTS to recount how their son “saved her” to their faces. She’d constantly re-traumatize people in the survivor group and then berate them for having panic attacks. And she even led tours of Ground Zero. She was the one that convinced New York to open Ground Zero to give survivors a place to mourn…all of this, and she wasn’t even there. Wasn’t even in the same country. She got rightfully chased out of New York.

I lost one my baby sisters to a rare brain tumor called DIPG in 2016. She was only 11 years old. Being her day to day Caregiver gave me a front row seat to the pain she went through. She wasted away before my eyes and at the end, not even morphine could help her. If these degenerates actually understood what cancer is like, they'd never fake it nor would they grift off of it. There's a special place in Hell for them.
@Rebornation0712

Yes they would bc people like this are narcissistic sociopaths who don’t care. If they actually knew what cancer really was, they would just use that to improve the grift! It’s sick and disturbing and people keep doing it bc the consequence is a slap on the wrist!

A 40 minute seizure would fry the brain. As a paramedic I was pretty good at spotting people who were faking grand mal seizures and there were a lot of them. They hoped we would give them IV Valium, Ativan, or Versed. One guy I busted stopped his extremely violent seizure, sat up, popped open a beer and lit a cigarette. People will even urinate on themselves to make it believable. What they can’t fake is the eyes. I would go to open their eyes so I could shine a light to see what the pupils would do and they would squint. Can’t squint if you are in the middle of a grand mal seizure. You have no muscle control when having grand mal seizures.

I hope this doesn’t sound cavalier, but I think the funniest thing about these influencers is that they’re so vain and attention-seeking that they aren’t even committed enough to the lie to shave. I guess it’s supposed to go with their false narrative that holistic living and clean eating helped them beat cancer rather than modern medical treatments, but I just now thought about this. As funny as it feels, it also adds another layer of disgust to the facade because they want to convince people that they are cancer patients, but not like THOSE cancer patients. They still have the energy to go do erroneous girlboss things and maintain their hair because they are a handful of blueberries or whatever instead of undergoing radiation. Like they’re underhandedly chiding people who are actually severely ill for not being able to keep up, or they were just that dumb that they thought they could sell that narrative and then drop off the face of the earth without anyone digging deeper

What kind of chemo for her2+. Lumpectomy scars. What does a chemo port look like. Is chemo port placement painful. Dental cleanings during chemo. And all these grifters can be bothered to do is look cute, tape tubes to themselves and tell people to eat vegetables and take biotin. Ffs such lazy grifting.

This is sad and dangerous in more ways than those fakers could ever imagine. My friend's brother died of cancer in his 20s and months before he died her and their family were desperately trying to find ANYTHING to prolong his life or cure him. People truly experiencing cancer do not need to have fake information out there nor have people start to question if they really have cancer.

My hs best friend faked cancer. To the point where she had people at school, her bf and her family(post graduation) convinced. I was suspicious from the jump just bcuz of how she could be. She claimed to have liver lung and breast cancer. During this time she put on a lot of weight and never had any kind of jaundice, etc. she continued to drink and smoke saying “I already have it so.. 🤷🏼‍♀️” People at school would be so nasty to me for not believing her. Even her bf and I had a falling out. He to this day still believes her cuz she’d take fake pills and act sick etc. about 7yrs after we graduated, her aunt came into the place I worked and was gossiping with my coworker about how my friend had lied to everyone, tbr family, school, etc. that she was a compulsive liar and use it to manipulate her child’s father and her kid too. Like if things get weird w custody or she wants her way.. suddenly she starts to feel sick again. It felt kinda nice to be vindicated but it didn’t feel good at all knowing some kid and their dad were being emotionally abused.

The fact that Bella Bond chose the most ridiculously stereotypical name “Sambontu” (sorry if that’s misspelled) is cringe worthy in and of itself

I mean, you people deserve to get fooled by these people. you idolize and trust strangers so much, I can recall being like that at the beginning on the internet but then you learn and realize the truth and don't fall again for it. you created al this culture around the internet and it has backlashed

The part that baffles me is putting down and misleading actual cancer victims. Do you have no guilt? Just say you’re an anomaly, not the norm, why make them think they are especially weak?!!

Why fake this? I follow Jenny & Kyle Apple here on KZbin. she recently lost her battle against cancer. Seeing her decline over the last few months was so hard.
